Has anyone seen this 19-year old piece of japanese animation?
If so, whatcha think about it?

Hell yeah... always a classic.

It was one of the first anime motion pictures I've seen... along with Demon City Shinjuku.

I'm supposed to do a presentation about a dystopian fiction work for english class, and I picked Akira (since the damn teacher wouldn't let me do Battle Royale Ã¢â‚¬â€ that would be cool).

Still thinking about things to say that wouldn't make the whole thing look like "look at teh pretty bl00dZ and pyskick pr0wers!"

Akira is one of the classics, 19 years old and it still looks beautiful. Great story (lol, though I couldn't honestly explain it).

I managed to convince my teacher to let me do Battle Royale.

It was as fun as presenting a book about a class of 15-year olds that must kill themselves to a class of 16-year olds can be.
Which is, in a rather obscure way, awesome. :evil
