Yeah, this topic is somewhat strange for the opinion forum (nothing very serious). Anyway, since you've all seen a picture of what I look like, I now would like an opinion. Of course, I'm going to let you know what's going on.

Every summer, I keep telling myself "I'm going to grow my hair out cause I never get to during the school year (ROTC purposes in high school)." Well, every time my hair started growing out, it'd get to a point where I got annoyed and decided to get my hair cut short again. Well, this summer, I want to grow my hair out, only this time, I'm not going to back out of it. I want to give it a shot and really see how I look. I've been debating on how long my hair should be and how I should make it look.



This is sort of what I'm aiming for. The length might be a little shorter, but that's the general idea. What do you guys think? If you think there's other styles of hair or lengths that you think will suit me, show me some pictures.

I love long hair on men.

I would definitely not grow my hair to be that long. No way.

Everyone's hair should be at least Knee-Length.

That's my hair from once upon a time. just enough to where the tips lay on the shoulders. Razored a little or some shape (not to much mind you) and a style to suit the person.

I grew up with a middle part so it naturally lays like that. But you can do a lot of things rather easily with little to know maintenance.

Also..not a big fan of sideburns ..... Unless you go for short hair..or really long hair I just don't think it works.

As long as it's kept clean and good looking, it doesn't matter to me.

I always preferred short hair over long hair. Probably because when my hair gets to a certain length, it really annoys me.

I recently lost 15 inches of hair in a Tragic waterproofing accident... (I do NOT wish to discuss it) (I am an Idiot!!).

The picture I posted in the user picture thread is cropped, but I still have almost that much hair! After the accident it was just about shoulder length...

FAR too short!!

The worst of it is that at my age, it's not likely to grow back.

But one could stand on one's head and use lots of hair gel! Then it may be possible to grow hair Up to your knees!!

The good thing about long hair, is that if you feel is too long, you can just cut it. I haven't get a hair cut in quite a while. You can tell I have too much hair, but it is not long. My hair is so curly it just goes anywhere it likes, and no hair gel can make it look not too curly.
I'm currently thinking what to do with it. (I like my mess of a curly hair, but I'm not used to have to use so much shampoo )

@kratos - you should totally grow it WAY long and then put it up in a bun like a samurai XD... no really i'm serious. or the pic you posted would be good *shrug*
but consider the samurai look. honestly. i knew a guy in a band that had really long hair.. he was way awesome. sort of older shorter and plumper than you... but still.. long hair = way awesome.

well in all honestly you're pretty good looking with short hair as well. it depends on the person you're trying to attract really. your friend right? so what does she like?

Well, I'm trying to get looks from any girl, really. Well, not ANY girl obviously, but you get the drift. As for my friend, we're not on good terms, or, at least, I'm not on good terms with her. Stuff developed since I got back from college and so, things are really rocky right now. So, I'm just throwing myself out there to find a new woman. I do have an interest, but right now, it's not a good idea for me to press anything with her relationship-wise since she's 3 years younger than me, and well, she doesn't have a interest in me like that right now. So, yeah.

my hair is like... uber curly. really is. Irish genes, eh?

... so i'm growing it right now. it isn't that long... a bit shy of shoulder length. but since it's so curly... well... it's actually a bit past shoulder if i pull it straight. most of my mates have straight hair... generally to about the length of the guy in the photo.

so yeah. it's a thing we do, really?

i'd have to agree with Sumisem.... kinda. i'd say it's really, REALLY about what YOU want to do.

*shrug* but then i don't see me attracting anyone with my hair. most people around here seem to think it looks stupid. then again, almost everyone around here is either on the rugby team, or drinking themselves into a mid-life crisis because they never got onto the rugby team. damned southerners =P
