It can be short-term or long-term. It doesn't even have to be a reason, sometimes those are the best reasons of all. I'll share after a while.

Well everyday except thursday, I wake up. Eat or drink, do my daily rounds on the forum(mod work), get dressed and do whatever.

I wake up for work. Usually running late because I had previously chosen NOT to wake up for work.
And I go to see the people. Because people need other people.
The first trick to winning in life is to show up right? Even if you don't really feel like it.

I wake up for school, well, did until I just finished my first year of college today.

But for real, I wake up just to see if I can make my life and day better.

I wake up for the chance to take care of my girl and to be there for her. And to hear all of you say I'm whipped

I wake up for school ^^ Although i sometimes still sleepy and eneded up sleeping for 2 minutes in the bathtub >___>

But although i feel lazy and don't want to go to school, i don't want to miss out on the lessons. It's importante...

Funny this topic would show up. I've made a habbit of of saying "That's why I got up this morning." to something that happens that was either really interesting or really funny.

But on a litteral note, I guess why I get up is to achieve some form of accomplishment at one point or another within the day. I know that sounds vague and indirect, but I don't think I can word it any diffrently.

I wake up, get dressed, all that good stuff.

But I wake up to see what's gonna happen next in my life. Sounds exciting ^ ^ (Well for me I guess.)

I wake up to go potty.

On school days I wake up for school.

On weekends my stomach forces me to get up.

Yeah, when I think about it.. it's like.. (at least for me anyway) I get up every morning.. but I don't Really know why. Just because it's expected of me... and gotta go to work to have the luxury of a bed to be asleep in and all. getting up due to survival instincts?

In the long term... I hope to be getting up because I really want to.

I wake up simply because my body decides I shouldn't be sleeping any more, even if I want to sleep in and have the time to.

Weekdays-work
Weekends-freedom

It is easier to wake on the weekends no matter how much sleep I had the night before.

I wake up out of sheer routine.

I get up and the feeling of knowing what I must do comes before knowing who I am, or where I am. This is something terrible for one's well-being. And so we start.

The thing with waking up to achieve some kind of accomplishment in the day hasn't been working for me in too much time. So, at the moment, I'm waking up just to see if I can get myself in bed at night again all in one piece. Which usually doesn't happen.

On weekends, I wake up only to ignore all those things, remember the night before, be either very happy or very sad about it, and go to sleep again.

I wake up at 6:15 AM, immediately stumble into the shower or else I'll fall back asleep, get dressed, eat breakfast, drive to school.

Actually, I wake up every morning because my neighbor has these damn dogs she lets out every morning. But for some reason she has never heard of a leash, and just like clockwork she end up yelling in the most high-pitch annoying tone, "BAAAAABIIIIIIIES" and claps her hands at them in hopes of coaxing them back into the house.

This is usually an hour before I wake up normally for which reason I've already stated. Hopefully when it gets later in the summer I'll be able to drown her out with my fan on high.

That's precisely what I do in the mornings, only I try to do ten or fifteen sit-ups right there in bed immediately after I awaken, before stumbling into a dark hallway and getting into the shower (usually hitting my head on the corner of the doorway in the process. Owww). Doing that short exercise usually makes my vision spin so nauseatingly fast that any feelings of drowsiness are completely lost, and thus I am not tempted to fall back asleep. ^_^

On a side note ->
Strangely, I find that the earlier I wake up in the morning, the more cheerful I am the rest of the day.




... I don't know what's more annoying, now. Having to wake up before the time you intended because of a screaming woman who's too stupid to use a leash on her pets, or not being able to go to sleep in the fiirst place at 1:00 in the morning because of mafia next door neighbors who coninuously drag stuff out to their cars all throughout the middle of night, and sound as though they are actively trying to slam the lid to the trunk down as hard as they can.

I guess it's all in the mannor of which you wake. I'm sure if good old "24/7" was the one waking you up before you intended... you wouldn't be as perky.

The thing about clock alarms waking you up is that after a time your body starts to naturally awaken one or two minutes before it goes off. At least mine does O.o
