For me, it has to be Hercules beetles. The designs on them are quite awesome and they kick lots of ass.

Coolest? Probably the preying mantis. It must be, 'cause my younger sister saw one on my porch one day and squeeled, saying "oh I want one!"

Either that or the ladybug. Ladybugs are fairly pretty (least as far as insects go) to look at and don't bother you in any way whatsoever.

Well seeing as I had a dream that a bee flew down my short yesterday, my favorite bug is not going to be a bee.

I would have to say an ant, they don't hurt you or bother you very much. PLUS! They can lift 3 times their own body weight! That's awesome!

Hahah...but i hate red ants.Also had bad experience with them.I stood on a pillar (below me, unfortunately an red ants nest >_<).

I stepped on the nest and the red ants just spread nit me like crazy and there was about 100 ants on my feet!It hurts so bad being bitten by that many ants *_*.

i think ants are pretty cool yeah... but also ladybirds. really like ladybirds. but then i like dragonflies too. and praying mantises and spiders... and butterflies... fireflies are cool yeah..

don't like moths at all.. eugh. >_<

I love the Cicada. I use to always wake up to them singing in the trees. Always on a hot summer day.

I use to find them and pick them up off my lawn and put them on the tree. And once I got mad at my mom and threw one at her. XD. It was fun to see her run in fright. I was so evil.

I would also find them floating in my swimming pool. I take them out thinking that there dead. And a few hours later there crawling away.

I find nothing good looking about them. However I think there quite fascinating.

^ oooh yah! that's a good one. i've never actaully seen or heard cicada's but i read about them in a book once... they seem cool though.

Hmmm.. I'll have to go with Scizor. That bug/metal combination makes it horribly vulnerable against fire, but DARN he looks so cool.

Dude it's all about the Carpanter Ant... it's the only ant that you can stamp on that will just turn around and flip you off like an angry driver in New York.

Have to go with the Japanese Giant Hornet. Thing is huge. And its sting melts your face. Gross..and it's pretty. Lol.

@lantis - omg that is so true >_< we have carpenter ants invade at my moms house every year and they're seriously damn near impossible to stomp!
