Have you guys ever had a get together for any/all Magonians? Like a convention?

Is this something people would be interested in and where would be the most reasonable location?

Do any of you guys hang out in person?

Never really wanted, don't care to. There are some people I'm fine just knowing on the internet and some people I'm fine knowing in person.

It doesn't really make much of a difference to me, since I live in another half of the world and so on, so it's not that... y'know... possible. =P
Though I tend to agree it's a nicer bond between people if they can meet each other in person. Not considering possible turn downs etc. Which are also very likely O.o

Well I think it would be interesting, but it would certainly take quite a bit of planning. I think it would be better to have a specific purpose to it and make it like an actual convention. I think that would take away from the awkwardness and provide more of a reason to go just besides meeting people, since it would be quite an investment for most to fly, or have a road trip out there.

But yeah if I get the job I'm going for I'd be up for it at some point.

I would be far too.....shy to attend such a meeting. I worry too much about what people would think.

I would like to meet a few people in person. I've web-cammed a few, which I think is about as close as I think it'll get... unless you count hanging out with Kajak and SK.

Funny thing is, when we hang out... we often call eachother by our SNs from here. yay nerds?

But yeah, if there was ever a Mag con... I'd probably go, depending on it's local.

Rural vacation spots are too secluded. I was voting for a big city.

Now I wonder if that would be too expensive in a city because of how much more the city tends to cost.

So I was thinking that maybe visiting one of your Gen-Y college punk's campuses might make the most sense?

No offense, but flying to the USA just for a convention like that is plainly stupid. It costs a lot and it's waay too much work.
But if I happened to be near the local where it would be held, and I had a vacation, I'd attend. ^^

i'll participate in this one.. and say 'no >___>'. for most of the reason already listed here, money, locality, etc. there isn't really that many of us either. and the fact that i'm too lazy for that kind of thing.

i think lone said back when i first came on the mag that it had been discussed and the pav wouldn't do it because they'd all kill each other and the mag wouldn't do it because they were all too lazy.

I guess lazy isn't really the magonian thing anymore. it's almost got to be anti-lazy. scary stuff. o.O

anyway - i came on the mag from knowing lone and vanz and then chrssy came on from knowing lone and scorpion lady came on from knowing us as well. so for a bit there was a whole bunch of us that knew each other irl, basically like lantis and co. but now nobody i know irl really is on here anymore. just periodically.
