Yeah, I know how it is.

People should talk about religion and politics more. Debates... heck, arguments about religion and politics are the only real mediums for them to evolve. If we all just sat around with our mouths shut, nothing would ever get done. If you have freedom of speech then $*&^%(*&^'in use it!

You are assuming that people want religion and politics to evolve. Many dogmatists (unable to entertain the idea they can be wrong) and pseudo-dogmatists (able to entertain the idea but afraid to) do not want religion and/or politcs to evolve, but I am mostly a modal non-dogmatist (i.e universally skeptical, but can function within a particular mode or framework.)
