Considering that KATG has a bit of an international following, how does this sit with the rest of you? As an American my first response is to call for the public beheading of director Stephen Sommers and every executive at Paramount/Viacom who came anywhere near the project. I'll also be personally blacklisting any actors who get any screen time.

I think the exact same. THIS IS DUMB AS HELL. GI JOE is about bad-ass American men and women kicking copious amounts of Cobra ass. Now it's a f*cking EUROPEAN fighting force? f*ck that, f*ck this movie, f*cking f*ck cluckers f*cking up this f*cking movie f*ck.

Haha, this is hilarious.

i really appreciate the idea of American producers who decide that this movie won't sell to the international public unless they stop the American franchise on which the movie is based from being American.

perhaps you could just ask Bush to wage war on the producers until they give up and declare GI Joe as American as everything else in America (and yes; public executions and blacklisting will do nicely, you jackass); actually...

the marketing is dumb, even if it has a fairly good point; american warmongering isn't such a popular flavour right now.

It's not like Joe doesn't team up with OTHER international agents, but to make the entire group un-American is something else.

Hell no...

It's a Portal refrence. Thought it was a bit better known around the net.... appologies.

Also, I don't think I'll watch this movie either. Even if it remained american, I'd still probably pass. I mean, GI Joe just doesn't sound like very good movie material imho.
