What is the story behind your latest creation?
The main focus of this movie is the battle, with the story being more of an after-thought. But still, a good story is present, and takes place immediately after MK vs SF 2. The battle will involve Shin Lvl 2 Akuma vs Chameleon.

Who or what inspired you to begin your production?
I'm naturally an emo, so I can draw inspiration from within myself by channeling my emotions, and applying it to whatever I'm working on.

How long have you been working on it, and when do you expect to finish?
I actually done the menu+battle (90% of the movie) last summer, but lost all motivation to finish it because I didn't like to work on the storyline. But I'll be picking it up to finish whatever's left.

Do you feel that this is better than your previous work? If so, why?
Yes, I do feel this is better than MK vs SF 2. The battle itself is 5 minutes long, as opposed to 3 minutes for part 2. Also, in MK vs SF 3, the battle spans 5 areas (including a freefall part), whereas in part 2, it only had 3 areas. And there is a greater degree of creativity in what the characters do when fighting than in the previous movies.

Do you feel that this is something original? What have you done to make your creation different?
Although sprites themselves are not original, the choreography and the manner in which the sprites flow will be. I also modified the appearance of both characters to keep things fresh, as well as editing most of the backgrounds so that the scene transitions will be natural. I also edited certain moves, so that it goes "beyond" watching conventional gameplay.

What has given you the most difficulty during the development process of your new creation?
Finding free time is always an obstacle for me, and having the motivation to finish whatever I start.

Have you learned new techniques from making this, and do you plan to use them in the future?
As I was working on part 2, I developed an fbf technique called "in-place" fbf that was more smooth and easier to modify than conventional fbf, and better simulated the effects of gravity and friction. By the time I got comfortable with it, I was already finished with MK vs SF 2, so I couldn't fully employ it until now. For MK vs SF 3, I used this technique for about 99% of the fight sequence. I also made heavy use of blending modes to achieve certain effects, and scripted alot of the "side" things, including the dialogue boxes, combo txt, and lifebars, so that they're easier to manage.

Besides Flash, did you pull any other programs into the mix to deliver your desired effect?
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe ImageReady
Adobe AfterEffects

How do you feel this creation will measure up to other submissions on Newgrounds?
Considering its Newgrounds, there'll be some anti-sprite sentiment, but I hope people will enjoy watching an intricately-woven battle sequence for its entertainment value, and come away saying "hey, that was really good."

Any final thoughts or anything else you would like to say?
This will most likely be the final one of the series...

Good to hear. I'm a pretty big fan of Proxicide's work.

From the link, it seems like it will be quite the topper to a great, though short, series.

I'm looking forward to it.
