Reported from MSNBC:

Quote:
Anna Nicole Smith dies in Florida hospital
Former model found unresponsive in Florida hotel room

asino in Hollywood, Fla. Access Hollywood's Tony Potts talks to MSNBC-TV's Alex Witt about the incident.

Anna Nicole Smith died Thursday after collapsing at a hotel and being being rushed to the hospital, one of her lawyers said.

Smith collapsed in her room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene and had been intubated. Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST and attorney Ron Rail confirmed that she had died nearly an hour later.

On Tuesday, Smith and the diet products company TrimSpa Inc., for which she is a spokeswoman, were sued in a class-action lawsuit alleging their marketing of a weight loss pill is false or misleading.

Smith also was order by a judge to have baby daughter undergo paternity testing. The test is being sought by Smith's former boyfriend Larry Birkhead, who claims he is the father of Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern. She was born Sept. 7 in the Bahamas.

Less than a week after the birth of her daughter, Smith's 20-year-old son Daniel died in her hospital room while visiting Smith after the birth. An coroner's report ruled the death was caused by an overdose of anti-depressants and methadone.

Smith married Texas oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II in 1994, when she was 26 and he was 89. He died the following year.

She then feuded with Marshall’s son, Pierce Marshall, over her entitlement to the tycoon’s estate before he died in June at the age of 67.

In the long-running dispute, Smith had won a $474 million judgment, which was later cut to about $89 million and eventually reduced to zero. In May, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Smith could continue to pursue the fortune in federal courts in California despite a Texas state court ruling that Marshall’s youngest son was the sole heir.

Somehow, I figured it was drug-related.

I can't help but to not care...

And here's what gets me. A whore dies, and it's all over the news. WTF?! I mean, it's not like it's a f*cking big deal. The worst thing that will come of her death is that some dude isn't going to get laid.

At least with Steve Irwin's death, I felt remorse.

... My dear Serena, that was COLD, man. Just because she might have been a ... well, you know ... doesn't mean she wasn't a fellow human being. Besides, Steve Irwin's death was pretty much all over the news, too, if I recall, so it's not like Anna Nicole is really being mourned over by the general public more than Irwin, since that's what you seem to be worried about.

That is pretty cold, Lantis, think about the poor baby. What will happen if it grows up parentless? I might not have liked her, but I do feel sorry for the child.

Oh, don't get me wrong... I feel alot of remorse for her kid. But maybe if she learned to keep her legs together, this wouldn't even be an issue.

But it's not her death that I'm so heartless about. I mean, I don't wish death on anyone. What ticks me off is the priorities of our country. I am channel surfing right now... as we speak... and it's every 5 channels... no lie.

Why is this so clucking important?

For some reason, I just don't care. Maybe things will be better without her.

Besides, trying to con people out of millions of dollars? Good riddance.

When I heard, i was a little shocked. But I was more interested in what she died of, more than her actual death.

The true losers here are all the rat-dogs of the world. I'm not sure that paris hilton can handle the world supply all by her self. I'm afraid that she is all they have now.

When I heard the news about it, I wasn't very shocked. It was bound to happen sooner or later. I felt kind of bad about how I took the news, "Oh well, she's dead. Doesn't effect me any." Too care so little about the loss of another human being. Am I really that heartless? :(

Its just human nature. If someone we don't really know dies, well we won't feel all that bad. hell, if i die no one is really gonna give a damn. After a month i would just be old news. Human Nature.

And life moves on as the clock of our lives ticks foward.

I look at it like this: There are 6.5 BILLION people on the planet. On avearge 10 people DIE EVERY SECOND.

The math is easy to work out.

600 people die every minute
36,000 every hour
864,000 every day
25,920,000 every month
and 315,360,000 people die every year

Also on avearge, in the same amount of time, 12 NEW people ar BORN TO REPLACE THEM.

again, thats

720 new people every minute
43,000 every hour
1,036,800 every day
31,104,000 every month
and 378,432,000 every year.

Compared to 6,500,000,000., 315,360,000 is a drop in the bucket, and given that 2% more people are born each year than die, I see no great loss to humanity as a whole if one person kicks it. At least in the grand sceme of things.

Sorry if I just made you feel insignifigant, but you are suposed to have grown out of your "personal fable" stage by now.
