Yes, everyone, while I realize very well that I talk a big game oftentimes, claiming to be a totally unique individual as the Protector of Angels and Knight of the Northern Longblade arts (well, that Northern Longblade part comes from Sakura Wars, I'll admit) who answers to absolutely no one. My image is my own. And I always say that if the world doesn't like it, it knows what it can do with itself. Yadda, yadda, yadda.

But, would it surprise you all to know that Sarah's Knight does in fact have a role model for himself? Someone whose principles and magical prowess he strives to better attain day by day? Well, when you finally see just who it is, you probably won't be at all shocked. In fact, most of you may roll your eyes and murmur derisively, "offffff course."

That's right. It is her ->

The forces of darkness fear no opponent greater than a cute, high-pitched and squeaky teenage girl who harbors an impressive array of magic and unique heroic poses.

.... But, why should I go on explaining everything that is great about the magic-wielding, white-robed princess, myself? I'll let actual footage from The Slayers perform the testament.

Here is Amelia using the undiscovered power of positive karma to non-violently subdue her opponent. She even passively coerces an idiot and a man of total apathy to assist her ->

In the first thirty or so seconds here she is giving a heroic speech to bring comfort and assurance to the poor, helpless masses, ... and then promises to go off and slay a monster for them ->

So, there you have it. You can just picture it now, can't you? This girl ->

... and SK standing back to back as forty or fifty ruby-eyed demons converge upon them from all directions. Unsheathing the Northern Longblade halfway out, ready to strike, SK turns his face to look sidelong at Amelia long enough to say, "Ready to do this?" To which she cheerfully responds as she summons a flare arrow spell to her fingertips, without even averting her eyes from the evil monsters in front of her, "You bet, SK! Let us fight them with the power of love and justice!"


Yeah, I know. Amelia's voice can be so high-pitched that it sounds annoying sometimes, but, well, what else can you expect in her kind of character? Still, she's my hero.

(Anyway, if you don't know of this series's existence, then I urge you to see at least the Slayers Try season. A few select episodes are, naturally, too stupid to watch and appreciate, being an anime primarily intended for humor, but for the most part it is extremely entertaining.)

Yeah, SK is a fan of the clumsy chicks. Don't ask me why. I always found them unbearable to the extreme. You know, like Selphie from FF8... people like her. They make me want to grind my teeth down to my gums.

i feel clumsy chicks are rarely done right and made to be annoying. i prefer Nina Inverse as a role model. if things dont go right for you, then Dragon Slave!

I wish they would drive you to that point. It would probably be harder for you to talk without teeth.

If it gets the point across to companies like Squeenix that I hate the stereotype that spawned such people like Selphie, Rikku, etc then I'll gladly do it!
