A movie in which a boy is body-swapped with a girl. Pretty obvious why it caught my interest. Going into it, though, I expected it to suck. I expected there to be little to no touching on the actual physical aspects of the gender change (outside of maybe a "boob gag"), and I expected there to be nothing but crazy and annoying antics the whole way through. I also got confused and thought it was a different gender-swap movie that co-starred Carrot Top. Which is why I wound up not watching it until now. However, it goes off Xbox Live tomorrow (supposedly), so it was now or never.

I came away quite surprised. It's a Boy | Girl Thing is actually a pretty decent movie. First off, no Carrot Top. Yay. Second, the story is your typical "guy hates girl and through being forced together, they start to fall in love each other" story, but of course with the added twist of them swapping bodies. Which works, because it allows them both to get a much better perspective into each other's lives. Oh, sure, there's a decent amount of antics going on as they first attempt to get used to being each other (complete with internal monologues) and soon after try to make each other look bad. But that all ends by the halfway point of the movie, once the turning point comes along and they decide to help each other out. And as it turns out, they do go into detail of their physical features (not only the chest area), but without showing anything and without giving specific names, which is okay.

Overall, I enjoyed it, and if you like these sort of love stories, and don't mind the PG-13 content, I could definately recommend it.

And as it turns out, the movie gets a time extension. That seems to happen to a lot of movies I rate high.
