Small synopsis: I asked Face and Thutmose to give me the first thoughts that entered their mind and then I would make it into a song before the week ended. Here were the results:

Mose: Burning sun
Face: Working out

The end result was this playful, but honest tune. I have two versions uploaded. Please give me feedback as soon as you can.

Verse One

I got a day off, I need to hit the Y
It’s much harder when my mind is saying “Stay inside”
This new year isn’t giving me favors
Self-promises that get broken sooner than later

But when I do hit the place, it’s harder to leave
Dribble rubber to the floor, score, making them see
That even big people ball just as much as the skinny
Then I break for the weights with devices that give me

Extra mass to the muscle, definition to body
Good pain to the places I never touched in the lobby
Repetition’s the mission, and my mental equipment
Tells myself to keep going when I’m thinking of quitting

Perspiration is dedication to doing it lots
Rain, snow and sunshine, yo, I’m hitting the shop
But that ever-lazy mind tells Bonanza to chill
Better get this funk treated so it’s hard to refill

Verse Two

I can barely make it once a week
Working afternoons’ a trip
And the one time that I can concede
To plant my feet through the double doors
Step on the hardened floors
Stretching and prepping
Challenge people to play some more

Of one-on-one, 21, any type of ball game
Body starts stiff, but then loosens in a short frame
That makes it worth going, and yet, I’m still at home
Bringing on a further delay to use the metal chrome

Come on, lazy body! It’s time to make a move
You’re on the comp all day and doing nothing, dude!
And yes, I’m being rude; it’s just a motivation
To cease procrastination with oral correlations

I have to overcome this blazing sun
It has a figurative heat, but once I beat it, the battle’s won
Mose and Face are counting on me to get it done
So onward to the Y; it’s time to have some fun
