Guys.

I saw tonight's showing of TNA Impact and I declare before everyone that it was the best night of wrestling I've seen in 5 years.

WWE has just marked its own grave. It's predictable, stale, and for f*cking babies. TNA just came for real. Monday Night Wars Part 2 here we come!

I can't wait for next week!

The wrestling was awesome as hell, too.

I wish they had more budget so they should show those HD replays during the match.

I stopped watching that bullsh*t years ago. There's honestly no reason to watch two men grabble for x ammount of time... ever. Unless you like seeing two men put each other into several different possitions, that is.

Also, do you like teh shadowmanz?

I stopped watching WWF/E/whatever they call themselves now so long ago...

I have seen TNA few times and seemed more enjoyable. Unfortunately, I think Heroes is also aired at the same time, so... yeah.

Heroes has fallen off. I'm waiting for them to capture the same appeal as it has when it first debuted.

It still hasn't, but I feel they are slowly getting there. I consider this season is actually attemppting to do that. It has been focusing mainly on the original cast, instead of showing a lot of things while showing nothing at all. (which is what I feel happened in the previous season. A lot of things that got the story nowhere)
Aaaand... I have nothing else to talk about wrestling to keep this on topic so I'll shut up. :blush

Why such hate for wrestling? Sure, it's anything but intelligent, but that's kind of the appeal of it. It's basically several strong guys roleplaying in front of a live audience. It's pretty fun to watch when you're just flipping through the channels.

Hey, I used to watch and enjoyed wrestling. I don't mind the role playing, but after all way, it gets so predictable it's not even funny. But before that, I used to go to all the house shows WWF did in Puerto Rico, and also went to New Years Revolution (A PPV event they did in PR)
Also, my favorite wrestlers are either gone or changed so much that I don't like them anymore (I'm looking at you Kane.)

This is one of those times I love to point out sturgeon's law. And it's because of this that I don't even HAVE cable/satalite TV. Out of the extremely few shows I watch, I stream online. The majority of the time there is litterally nothing on... and only by proxy does wrestling seem in the slightest bit appealing (but for me, that's being overly generous as I find wrestling nothing short of pathetic and sad).

Lantis, shame on you. :p

I think I'll give WWE a break until they can start to get good again, and just tune into TNA.

Lantis, you can freaking lick my butt. You claim to have standards but like Turtles in Time Remake. This does not compute.

For the ten measley dollars that it cost, it was worth it. I had fun playing it with you guys and I still have fun busting it out to kill 15 minutes with SK when we are waiting to do something. I fully agree with you that it is NOT as good as it's SNES/arcade counter-part, but that doesn't automatically make it bad. All SNES carts back in the day were between $50 and $80. Paying 10 for the remake that wasn't as good as the original doesn't seem like such a crime to me.

Besides, if I was given the option of either watching any form of wrestling or playing XBLA TIT, I'd play turtles, no questions asked.

Of course that would be what you would choose. :p

But TIT is mediocre and uninspired, which is a tough feat when you're remaking a game that was the opposite. I paid 10 dollars for this when I could have bought any other 10 dollar game on XBLA and had more fun.

I had more fun talking to you guys WHILE playing than I did playing and talking. Boring, boring game. Just so not to sh*t up this thread, I'm gonna make a TIT rant thread in VG.

On topic, TNA got a 1.5 rating and 2.2 million viewers on Monday night, which is their best ever. I'm quite excited to see what happens on Thursday night Impact.

Yes, we will carry on this conversation there.

As for what happens on the 'Thursday night Impact'... I'm pretty sure it's just two shirtless men grasping at each others bulging, sweaty muscles for 30 minutes or so.

You have fun with that.

I agree, I never really liked WWE, I have more respect for TNA's wrestling.
