Man I just don’t know what to do.

As I’ve said before I am in my 30’s. My upper 30’s. I live away from where I grew up. I live near Washington D.C. and I grew up near Chicago.

I just recently looked on Facebook for the first time and saw all my old grade school friends, high school friends, college friends, and family members back home. I have a big extended family.

It’s weird when you see a pretty attractive lady in her upper thirties that you remember nice, but plain and formless in her mid teens or an absolutely beautiful woman in her late twenties that you remember as a cute first grader (when you were in her sister’s eighth grade class).

It’s weird to see your extended family, cousins who you were very close with, and not recognize their children or even know their names.

And when you listen to music on YouTube from your high school days nearly twenty years ago, you think of all the time that has passed in between then. You think of all the people you lost touch with, all the music you used to listen to, all the things you used to do.

And then you think of all the realities that never were. Not because you made the wrong choice at a given moment of your life but because you could only make one choice real.

And then you feel all the potential, all the possibility that awaits you now. It’s not over yet.

So what to do…with the rest of your life.

The only thing you can do is listen to the music.

And then dance until you die.

Now…who to dance with?

Time to move.
