Talk about a fake-out title.
NYC's cool, calm and collected, because I'm here, after all.

Things are, thank god, hot.

Just came back from Brasília with an air humidity of 30%, and in September they reach 10%. I don't know how people can live like that.
On the plus side, it means that no one sweats, ever. We fit 94 people inside a minibus and no one was sweating.

Here in Rio humidity is usually around 80%, I think. You can't put 2 people inside a minibus, they start to get all wet (woo).

"Satan came down to California, lookin' for a soul to steal".....Oops, wrong subject.

Warm, and sunny here. It's been snowing like crazy over the winter, so some sun is really nice.

fake out title indeed... but Surprisingly clever.

our weather has (by some sort of magic that i dare not speak or think or wonder about in case of jinxing it) been wonderful! one week it just decided it would be between 8 and 16 degrees and it's been that way ever since! and sunny nearly every day.. even days when it is less sunny there is still sun for a period. AMAZING! i havn't seen sun in over a year i think but now ive seen sun every day for a month. i don't really like sun but i can appreciate the bizarreness of the situation.

only think is that it makes me think it might go hotter than 16 degrees which i don't think i could handle <____< ... though depending on the source you ask it's anywhere from 14 to 19 degrees right now.

celcius.

LOL in AZ we get like that when there's a single cloud in the air. We also fear the wind as we get Mars-style dust storms that blanket all of Phoenix.

Was 100 last couple days but its cooling to high 80s for the next week.

Location: Out there. In that place. You know, with the "thing"
steadily getting warmer thank fully. And dryer too (Thank god). The last few years have followed this weather pattern:
Winter: Wait until December to snow any significant amount, then when it does, tease us with a dusting a few times, and then hit us with a whopper right out of left field that knocks out power for a week and a half. Repeat cycle of snow until March. For extra credit, tease them with 50-60 degree temps around the end of January, but come back with even colder temps than before-Bonus points for doing so with an ice storm that knocks out power again right after the power crews have finished up and are just headed back for home.

Spring: Start the season off right by melting all that snow; take a month to get warm enough to do it, but make sure that shot up is, sudden but mild enough to not melt the ground as well. Cue flooded rivers, and enjoy as all the streets flood and all the low spots for miles turn into vast shallow lakes. Continue to slowly raise the temperature until the ground softens up. Have all available water, not inside permanent bodies, go into the ground to a depth of about 10 feet. Mix well. Continue to raise temperature until the mud begins to evaporate. Shut off the wind for about 2 weeks. If you must have it blow, use it to roll in some heavy spring rains from the west to re saturate the mud.

Summer: Continue on the spring pattern until there is not enough water left above the water table to support the cycle. NOW shut off the wind, for good this time. Try to do this before any breezes blow the humidity away; that's important. Begin by evaporating slowly and having it rain once a week to put the moisture back, then have a few days of windless sun. Longer days mean more time for evaporation to occur means higher latent humidity means that it rains harder and longer each time. Continue this until it begins to look like the monsoons. For spice, toward the end, take a few pot shots at us with a hurricane or two.

Autumn: As always, start by finishing up the course of the season previous. This means one final HUGE down pour punctuated buy periods of light drizzle. Clearly heat can no longer build up in this system, (and nor does it have the time to after the summer solstice) so after the long down pour, it will be nice for about a month. The rain will still be spotty, and we might still get a hurricane, but its usually just the spent out left overs of one. But the best part is that it will continue to be "hot" until the end of September, so when it drops back down into the 40's as soon as October starts it's that much more of a shock. ("Hey! I drove to work and didn't bring a coat because it was hot when showed up. Now I'll die of frostbite on the way home! YAY!!") Continue like this until surprise snow storm at the end! ("SURPRISE! IT'S WINTER!!")

So as you can see, right now I should be in the "holy-shit,-It's-wet!!" phase right now, but instead, it's just been mild and breezy. The ground has already hardened up; surprising, as mud season usually lasts in to May. I heard its supposed to be quite hot here tomorrow, possibly 80. I'll believe it when I see it. >_>

maybe we should make a map and track the progress of the devil with little thumb tacks and string.. if nothing else it would be fun. =D

Jeez Laweez! I'm sitting in the mid 60s right now, and we see near 100 only in June-July. I would melt over there.
