It may show the password in the address, but it's impossible for anyone to see it unless you're logged into a public terminal.

But if you forget your password, how will you access the chat to see it?

You know, there's been a plethora of new innovations in the functions of logging in, such that we no longer require passwords to be placed into URLs anymore. I know, the old solution to straight passwords was encryption and then placing the encryption into the URL instead, but srsly, that was so 20 years ago.

Whoever wrote flashchat that way should really be shot with an anti-silliness round.

Obviously. I wasn't doing it to begin with, but people kept commenting on how I could use the popup window since I keep accidentally closing/exiting the tab normally, so I gave it a shot.

Well, that does work. Only problem is that it shows your stuff.

Flashchat was created as a fast, cheap, compact, and effective method of chatting....who cares if the chat url has your password in it? Its not like theyre going to steal your identity and run up your credit cards....
