I just want people to use this time and place to share a memory of a deceased love one so that we can help keep their memory alive.

This is something we all have in common I think.

You've never lost a loved one? A friend, family member, pet?

Oh, everybody has lost. However, that doesn't necessarily mean we all give a sh*t about who we've lost.

So, no, I haven't lost a loved one - human or otherwise.

My grandpa suffered of cancer and committed suicide at his hometown. He begged to die and had my dad help him. A week before he died, he kept asking where I was, I didn't get the chance to visit him in the hospital so he told my mom to tell me that I need to be kind and take care of those in need. I recorded a video of me and my family and sent it to him to watch. He saw all of us, than he died.

My uncle died as well, he was such a great guy, the last time I saw him was on my birthday. He shook my hand and gave me a smile, got into a car crash a few weeks later.

Sorry to hear that Duel, but at least your grandpa got to see the video of you and your family and at least you have the memory of your uncle smiling.

Your reply is a good example of why I am more amused by this thread than made to post.

If I wanted someone to tell me 'Sorry' and give a few 'at least's, I might. However, I don't see much need for it, and think futile, foolish words such as those should be reserved for the awkwardness of funerals, and I should hate to have someone who couldn't give two ounces of piss for another's loss tell me those words on any other day but the day they put someone in the ground.

Even then, I don't listen.

@N.L.Y.

Fine. I won't make any more comments in this post lest I offend someone, but my comment was sincere.

Actually, I myself would rather hear this kind of comment on any day EXCEPT the day my loved one is buried.

So do you have any memories of any deceased loved ones that you would like to share?

yeah geez nly, the whole point of the thread is to get people to talk about memories of dead people that they wouldn't normally have posted about or maybe even thought about so that everyone can post condolences to show their sincerity even though it's no longer required. OBV since when it is wanted people have in the past posted about it. like durrrrr.
