Yeah I can't stand my boss. Well, more accurately my boss' boss. He micromanages and doesn't even know how to do the work. And he is the VP of my branch of the company. He thinks that means real power. Not real power at work, I mean REAL power. The position gave him a huge head and he thinks he is untouchable.

He tells you how to do something, and the next day he changes his mind. Guess what that makes me? It makes me wrong. He takes credit for my work, he calls me a liar, and literally yells if I don't take out the trash at the end of the day (even when there's ONE thing in it.)

So today I went to the president's office and told him how crappy this guy is and that I am leaving the company because of him. Then the pres offerred me a new position and a raise if I stay. We decided to finish the conversation this Tuesday. In the mean time, the jerk in question is now under review for harrassment.

I have a bunch of apps out and we will see what happens. I just want a constant schedule. That way I can finally finish school. Even if that means a paycut.

Awesome- goes to show if things are unjust, you should go for it.

So here's where I'm at now.

The VP in question hardly says a word to me now, so I like my job again. I agreed to stay long enough to train my replacement which we are still interviewing for. I was also given a pretty nice raise and offerred a new position within the company. I will be making even more money and be in a different department all together. The owner likes that I have been here so long and am honest and that I have held many positions within the company and did well in all of them.

So I will be staying and have a regular schedule (since I will be making my own ) and make alot more.

It also turns out that I was for the last 18 months qualified for differential pay of an extra 1.50 an hour and no one noticed. Not even me. So the back pay came a couple weeks ago which was a very very very nice surprise.

It was a very large check, especially when you factor in all of my overtime (I average 55-60 hours a week) and its already gone. I used most of it to pay off a couple credit cards and the rest is getting me a new tv and surround sound.
