Planet X, aliens, conspiracies, bible stuff, paranormal nonsense, lost civilizations.

They may sound crazy but I love this kind of stuff becuase, well, they spice up life! I'm a huge fan of fiction and knowing that these things exist or not gets me excited. It's also a great pool of creativity I can jump in.

I just wanted to make a topic of that. I don't really create new topics and I just felt like making one.

^ Fetish...?

Like... conspiracy fetish?
"Bush is a reptilian alien... Bush is a reptilian alien... Bush is a... ah! reptilian... ah! alien! Aaaaaaaah! So good...."

Or... lost civilization fetish?
"Yeah, baby, dress like a Mayan, baby... show me your calender, baby..."

Or... biblical fetish?
"My name is Legion, for we are many."
"Oooh... many... the more, the merrier!"

*shudder*

I hear ya duel, I also like to watch shows about bible secrets, ancient civs, aliens and all that. So long as its not something like 'UFO Chasers' or ghosts shows. I like the ones like, if there were aliens, here's how they might live, what their planet might look like and all that.

I also really enjoy shows about the universe, gravity and time.

How do you know that quote?

@Duel

Ever since I was a kid I've always been moved by the mysteries of life. At one time I was interested in all of it, not knowing quite how to think of it. So yes, at one time I was interested in the paranomal, but ever since I realized that I didn't believe in most of it, and that some things that I might still believe in, like some level of psychic ability, are really not any more extraordinary than the actual existence of ordinary mental thought, I lost interest.

But at least I still had the supernatural.

But after realizing that (ditto about the supernatural, i.e. whatever I do believe of the supernatural is no more extraordinary than the existence of the natural) I lost interest.

But at least I still had the metaphysical.

(Ditto metaphysical as what I believe of it is no more extraordianary than the physical).

Leaves me with the only mystery is simply the MIND.

All thought occurs in the mind so being impressed or unimpressed is nothing more than a psychological condition, as belief is nothing more than a psychological condition.

Even the inability to reconcile the irrational, the illogical, and the absurd are only 'problems' or 'mysteries' because the mind says so.

So the only thing I care about anymore is how the mind objectively 'got here' and is able to objectively 'stay here'.

To me, the paranormal, the supernatural, and the metaphysical are simply useful arks to push the limits of that which is MENTALLY normal, natural, and physical.

I've heard that quote from a game called Shadow Man. Really awesome game, btw.

I think that originated from the Bible...

*looks*

Yep... Mark 5:9

Zomg, teh Bible! wrote:
And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

If you really wanna know, I guess I can tell you...

I read not too long ago a Let's Play of Shin Megami Tensei for the SNES, in which the author decided to quote Wikipedia articles detailing the origin of every single demon in the game. Legion is one of them, and through the Legion article in Wikipedia, I learned that Bible quote.

That quote is in my favorite horror film of all time
The Exorcist III
and a particular RPGM3 game that I know of.

At a very remote level of polyphonic depth, that quote is harmonically integral to the counter-subject presented in my post above to the original thematic subject of this topic presented by Duel.

It is something to think about and to realize beyond superficial meaning from my point of view.
