Do you have that special place you can go to that can be just awesome?

Like, I never go to a public bathroom if I have to take a dump. It's usually too dirty or gross. But on the second level of the library is a little bathroom that I consider my little slice of heaven.

It's clean. It's quiet. And most importantly, it doesn't see much foot traffic.

I use to hang out in the woods when I was on LongIsland. Now living in a city makes that a little harder.

I use to just go and sit on a log and just think about things. It kinda felt nice to be around nature where it was peaceful, privet and quiet.

A big part of me still wants to travel to the keys. I always wanted to visit there beaches with the really white sand and the really blue water. :)

My slice of heaven is a quiet street anytime between 1 and 4 AM.

Any street will do, as long as it's peaceful.

DUDE.

Me and my friend Derek quite despise having to go #2 in non-public toilets, haha. I have to clean my toilet, and if I do it somewhere else it's someone else's bowl to clean.

I love the bathrooms in the Psychology building on campus. No one is ever in them, and actually, I never hardly have to go there. It was cool.

In non-bathroom terms, I just love being in nature areas or a slice of suburbia when not many people are around. Watching the sunset from this park close to campus is also heart-warming for me.

I really can't associate anything bodily waste to heaven for some reason... call me crazy. But I ::edit:: DID have this place I visited alot when I was younger. I lived in town, but it was kind of on the edge. There were woods just down the street from my house.

Well, if you had a bike, it was rather easy to get there (walking took a lot longer time than you'd think) as it was a good ways in. You go through some back baths that were probably used to get construction equipment behind this school that you kind of pass by, but after that, you pass by this very large creek. If it didn't rain, it was actually quite shallow and you could walk/bike right through it (and even if you didn't, we had a rope we could swing across, which was always fun). Then the path becomes alot less... um... pathy. Alot more narrow and less foot-trodden. After a good while down here you will eventually see a worn down fence of barb-wire. Following it till it opened leaded to an old abandoned feild. You can stand in the middle of it (as it was rather open) and scream and no one could hear you. Here, you can truely be alone. The one place I'd go was off to the side. There was a huge tree... and the weird thing about this tree is that most of the limbs had knots of wood on them. I kind of thought it was some kind of fruit tree or something at first... but it's just knots of wood. The grass in the field was really tall, minus a little path that leads up to this tree. But the entire circumference of the tree had no grass at all. So it was wonderful to kick back under it.

The only people who really knew of it were the other few kinds around my neiborhood. We'd go there late to look at the stars sometimes. In the city, you can't see squat... but out there, the stars are so visible, it makes the constolations hard to see with all the other stars you can now make out.

I hadn't been back there since before I graduated highschool. I went back a few months ago on a whim only to find out that most of the forest leading to that field had been dozed.... and I couldn't find it. C'est la vie?

It used to be downtown Chicago, starting at Michigan Avenue and Van Buren, through Wabash, with stops at Chicago Carry Outs for the best cheesburger I'd ever have, and Iwan Ries for British Full pipe tobacco, and then up Michigan until you'd get to the Borders across the street from the John Hancock Center.

Or maybe Hyde Park by the University of Chicago at all the bookstores along 57th street and Cafe Florian or the Medici.

Now, it is Cafe Philo and Apres Philo in Washington D.C. with either Fuller's London Pride or Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout. It isn't the same since it left Chapters Bookstore and Elephant and Castle, though.
