The Funday Pawpet Show

Furry Warning People!

Even if this doesn't interest you, read on. It DOES have a direct relation to the mag, farther
down the page.

The Funday Pawpet Show is a weekly, four-hour puppet show that occurs every Sunday Night
from 7-11pm in the Eastern Time Zone.

Yes, I know it sounds instantly dumb, but this isn't childrens' entertainment we're talking about
here.

This is a comedy/random/improv/talk show that has been going on for 8 years now. It is rated
PG-13, but rating is often broken.

Throughout the Show, audience members may join the special IRC chat channel, and participate
and chat during the show. The cast members actually have their computers backstage, and
monitor the audience chat.

One of the recurring events on the show is called "Subservient Fursuiters."
This is an idea that grew out of Burger King's subservient chicken advertising.

Basically, a fursuiter appears on-camera (in the living room. ;p) and must bend to the will of the
audience. Audience members throw out suggestions in the IRC chat. The hosts of the show
pick from these, and assign the "subservient" a command. It really does get to be a laugh
riot a lot of the time.

Anway, like I said, this goes on every Sunday night, and I encourage each and every one of
you to give it a watch at least once. And get ready, because here is the fun part:

FEROS WILL BE APPEARING ON THE FUNDAY PAWPET SHOW ON 11/11, AS A SHOW GUEST
AND SUBSERVIENT FURSUITER. I ENCOURAGE ALL MAG MEMBERS TO WATCH AT LEAST
THIS PARTICULAR SHOW, AND JOIN IN THE AUDIENCE IRC CHAT, SO THAT YOU CAN MAKE
ME DO THINGS!

Instructions for viewing the show:

One of two ways.

1) Visit www.pawpet.tv
Click "watch" and select the stream you wish to connect to (either hi or low quality) These links will lead to the live
stream during the show, or replays of the full show after it is over.

2) In quicktime, click File>Open URL : rtsp://streams.pawpet.tv:554/fps-hi

Instructions for joining the audience IRC channel:

In your favorite IRC client (mIRC for Feros), join server irc.pawpet.org

More detailed instructions for joining IRC for those unfamiliar, are coming soon.

SEE YOU ON THE SHOW!

Here's a sample subservient:

Am I the only one here who completely don't understand anything about this? Perhaps more clarity would help. Is this your project or some other thing?

"What is Funday PawPet Show? Well it started one Sunday back at the end of November '99. Out of boredum, YappyFox and a few friends got together to try a silly puppet show in his living room behind his couch. The wild idea came to mind when he was looking around at all the odds and ends of computers, audio and video equipment that he had collected. He wondered if he actually connected some of this junk that was collecting dust, if he could stream video on the internet, being that there were already alot of still image web cams, and a start of internet audio only radio stations. How many non-profit live internet brodcasts do you see? Usually only the large money mongers can afford to do it. The challenge set in, and since Yappy and Herbie had already been doing puppet shows for Give Kids The World, decided that a puppet show might actually attract the interest of an audience. Little did they know that after the first week of acting silly and the audience of 15, that it would explode into an expensive weekly endevour. Fans started flowing in to watch every week, and donations from fans started coming in to try and keep us on the air. The targeted audience for FPS was not at kids as it was at Give Kids the World, but rather to a late teens to early 30's. The material is not hard core bad language, but on ocassion the subject may get a little explicit, or some mild language may pop out, usually a word here and there. We self rated the show PG-DLS, to sort of match tv rating guidelines for Parental guidance. Do not just put a kid down in front of the computer to watch us. First see if you want your kids to watch us based on how racy our topics may get." - www.pawpet.tv

It's not that spammy; this is one of those moments where one horribly disorientated face speaks a thousand words.

though technically it's silence that's meant to have done all the talking. lolz.
