I recently bought a Mazda MX5. It's pretty much stock... everything. I want to do alot to this car over the next year or so... so I thought I'd start a thread so you can see the progress.

You can see my old car on the right... stupid pos. Also, you can see a small rip in the tan top (or at leat you COULD before photobucket resized the sob) which is one of the reasons I'll be changing the top. If nothing else, that tan just looks kind of nappy.


I'm over at my friend Bibby's house. I think I've mentioned his name before around here... if not, he's one of the guys who works at radio shack and will probably be helping me with any mods I make.

So far, I've just got a new cd player. It came with a Bose system in the car. Even had an amp... But the CD player wouldn't play burnt CDs. So i threw a pioneer cd/mp3 player in it. Thats just about all I've done up till now.

I plan on changing alot of the interior from that tan color to just black. That includes the seats as well as the top. I just recently ordered a chrome roll bar. I'll get pics up when I get it installed.

Btw, you really going to change the interior to black? My family has a lifelong tradition of looking for light interiors, because they're so much more pleasant and rare to find. I'd keep the interior color.

I'm not sure all what I'll be changing. I did get my chrome roll bar in this week. I'll probably get it installed next week.

As for the interior color... it just kind of seem like something grandpa would drive. But yeah... I guess we'll see.
