TAI says he has lots of books I can read up on as far as scripting and stuff.

My biggest question is.. How do people get there graphics and back rounds?
Do you need to be a 2D artist? How do you know what is or not copy righted when it comes to graphics?

TAI thinks maybe if I can learn I can maybe make sights privately for people as a side job. I don't know whats involved though.

It requires a lot of skill to actually be good at it, so it's unlikely that'd you'd make a whole lot of money making websites for people as a "side-job".

Also, besides just making a website most of the people you make the website for usual count on you to host it, in which case you'll need server space, preferably your own server, which can cost big bucks if you plan on making more than a few websites. After you've bought a server you need somewhere to put it besides just your house, somewhere where you have a fast, secure internet connection and enough fans so it doesn't overheat. Most servers are stored in special rentable facilities that have all the things you need to make sure your server works fine, however these places can be semi-expensive to rent, and it's a monthly bill you have to pay.

Another cost to consider is the price of the applications you need to make websites. There are a lot of tools you can use to make websites, and they can add up to being pretty expensive in the long run.

All in all, you can make decent to good money making websites, but it really depends on your skill, your competition, and your ability to pay for and host a server. The profession of making websites can't really be called a "side-job", but if you want to get serious and go all in with it you could make some good money, but to do that you have to invest quite a bit of money as well.

^TAI said all I need to provide is the code. I can list that in a contract.

I'm going to "hard code". I'm not going to use "dream weaver" or nothing like that.

That'll make it harder to debug as dreamweaver will let you know when you have a tag open and such... but whatever floats your boat, eh? ^_^

Look up html kit. Thats what TAI says he uses Amaya 9.5.
Html kit will tell you where the open and missing tags are.

The best part is... The program IS FREE! :D

And as far as your "low blow joke".. TAI says being that I'm the "copy and paste queen" I should have no trouble needing to always be correct on spelling. Because I'm copying the correct information over and over again. :)

Making a website is a lot of fun to me, because it's like a gigantic puzzle. What to place here, how to make this look better, and so on. I've progressed a great deal since I started way back in 2002.

However, there is a lot of debugging to do. Don't think that you can just whip a site out of your mind like nothing. It takes patience and research to find functions and stuff to use. You should take a look at RPGMM v2. That was my skill level after about a year of HTML.

I used HTML Kit and Photoshop for v5.

heh, well if you right click and view source on any internet page you can see the code for it ^_^ the html code anyway - for server side code (if you want to do any of that) you have to get the original files which you can't do unless you can get on the server to copy them and stuff. but it's good to look at code to see how stuff is built. i do that a lot. ^^;;

A website isn't really that hard if you don't know the basics of html, xhtml and alot of other stuff.
