Some months ago, I mentioned how I was looking forward to start a new job I thought I'd get, only to find out the week I was supposed to start that the job wasn't mine.

And since I was so sure I had that job, I lost the opportunity to take my old job back (it was understandably given to someone else.)
The principal told me she would love to hire me but she wouldn't be able to do so until next school year. Well, Next school year starts in 6 weeks... I reapplied for a position in the same school and this time I did get the job! I'm currently working on getting all the necessary papers and documents I need to sign this very week!

I can't express how excited I am considering how horrible was 2011 for me. Not only did I lost the job I thought I had AND the one I had before that but I was emotionally wrecked after a big "break up" (Not a romantic partner or anything, but I consider it to be worse)

But yeah. Things have gotten better since 2012. 8 months of unemployment gave me time to rest and recover until I was asked if I was interested in my taking my old job back (which meant I once again worked at the school, but not for the school) and eventually reapply for an actual job with them. I got time to form an incredible bond with my almost 2 years old niece, come out to my mother, clear my mind...
I can't say that life is good, but at least I'm starting to feel that life is not THAT bad, which is a huge improvement to last year's way of thinking.

That's wonderful news, man. I'm surprised you managed to land a job at a place the originally turned you down. Really uncommon.

Thanks! To be honest I wasn't expecting them to allow me another interview, but I did make sure to show them how useful I can be when I retook my old job back. They actually call me for an interview after the classes were over and it was very informal. (Since as they said, I was almost part of there family anyway) I didn't want to get my hopes up tho. I wasn't going to believe I had a job until I signed (which I haven't yet but I will this friday)
