Hey guys, Ixzion here with a chat update:

1. The chat will now save your theme and mute preferences. When the chat loads up, it will remember what you said last time.

2. The chat has the following commands added:



For instance,

/whisper Ixzion This is a message.

will direct a message to the user Ixzion that only you and he can see. If you misspell the command or the user, the message will fizzle and will not get added to the chat log.



will put your name and action in italics in the forum.

For instance,

/me ran away

would display:

Ixzion ran away

in the chat. Like the prior command, if you (somehow) misspell the command, the message will not get added to the chat log.

Thanks. If anyone has any last-minute features they want, now's the time to mention it. After v6 goes live, I'm taking a year off before I touch stuff again.

Emoticon list, so that we don't have to go into the forums and start a new post to look them up. Could be a drop-down list or a link that opens a small window.

Speaking of emoticons, they can be disabled from the User Control Panel.
I personally dislike them.

Get rid of the Spoom loop.

It's still kicking me out once as soon as I log into it, as well.

Oh yeah, that happens a lot. I log in, head into the chat, and am immediately booted right back out. It's not all the time, but it's frequent.

I'll investigate it. I have no idea what the Spoom error is, though, besides Internet Explorer, which we have not tested the chat in.

How about a simple text color feature? Nothing complicated. All I need is for my own text to appear different from everyone else's, on my screen only.
