When it comes to beer I'm actually pretty boring. Stuff like pale ale and imported beers are what I stick to and I usually avoid the hard stuff. I only drink beer when I'm in a social gathering or I see an opportunity to entertain people; or at least make things interesting.

The only time I'll get truly drunk is if a big event is happening. When that happens I become very apologetic but also more outspoken.

And that's my take on things.

I typically have 1-2 with dinner about 4 times a week. When at parties or gatherings, I'll have more if the crowd is mature and friends.

I'll drink chug-worthy beers, like bud or Coors. But I think of them as cheap soda to the name brand Coke and Pepsi. Guinness is great, Red Stripe, Duvel and Piraat are great Belgian ales, Samuel Adams makes several great choices, and oddly enough, I like Pabt's Blue Ribbon.

As far as spirits go... I'll break it down as best as I can. Keep in mind, I don't like to pound these. I sip and enjoy. Haven't had any in a couple months.

Whiskey
..Scotch

..-Single Malt:
Macallan 12 year is great. It is very smooth with a sweetness to it.

Highland Park 12 year is my favorite single malt at the moment. It has a smokey honey sweetness that I am a big fan of.

..-Blended:
Dewars 12 year is a more consistent flavor than the single malts. If you had to guess I'm sure you would be right, smokey sweet honey. It's just the flavor I like in scotch.

..Irish Whiskey
..-Blended:
Bushmills Black Bush. Smoothest whiskey I've had.

..American Whiskey
Gentleman Jack. Caramel sweetness, really smooth, and a touch of tobacco bitterness. Superb indeed.

Bourban
Jim Beam 8 year Black is a cheap and great choice. Starts caramel-ly sweet, finishes smokey but not bitter.

Noah's Mill 15 year is sweet but not in a typical caramel or honey flavor. When I can find this, I get it, when I can't I'll get Jim Beam.

I'm an occasional drinker. As such, I don't have a very large pallet. Recently I've really enjoyed drinking Kahlua or some Disaronno with Sprite or 7up. Captain Morgan and Krakken are aslo tolerable.

Though I think tomorrow might be a worthy occasion if we're all going to be in a hangout waiting for the end of the world. I'll be there.

I earnestly don't drink much, but I have vastly different tastes from college haha.

First alcoholic drink: Japanese student party at college. Oh my gosh, Sake is the REALEST deal. I need to try it again, but it wasn't my thing. Maybe it was the brand, but people talk about all hard liquor tasting like cough syrup... nah, but this one seriously did feel that strong and whoa! I took two sips and gave up.

Back in college, when I chilled with friends I usually just had either a Smirnoff cooler, or Smirnoff Vodka straight up mixed into sprite or cranberry juice. A lot of the time, when I drank it was the only time I had Pepsi- mainly because some of my friends were more rum fans(Captain Morgan). And they made Coconut Rum Pepsis and stuff like that. Those were basically Cuba Libre drinks, and I laughed when I ran into that in Catherine.

Nowadays, I'm mainly down for wine. It pairs well with many dinners, and my girlfriend usually finds some really cool organic wines from Whole Foods. I couldn't even name all the ones we've tried, but it's always interesting trying a new flavor. I prefer Riesling best, I think. Riesling is a white wine, best paired with a ton of Indian and Thai dishes, and that's always enjoyable.

I looked up this Disaronno! If we have it here, I think trying that would be neat. I saw there was a recipe for a drink with it and orange juice called a "Bocce Ball". If you don't know what that is, it's like an Italian lawn sport... and the drink is more than likely called that because of the origin of the liqueur, as well as the orange of the drink emulating the vibrant color of various Bocce balls. I love Italians, that's hilarious.

I've also been craving Kahlua recently. I had it last probably a long, long time ago- but it's not bad! Yum yum yum.

If you can't tell, I mainly drink on recommendation. I haven't tried many things besides a ton of wines.:P

Best beer is by Germans. England a very close second.

Then I go with a tie between Ireland and Belgium.

After that I prefer American or Mexican.

Otherwise the rest is all the same to me.

Most overrated beer by far is Dutch.

I don't like beer. Or pretty much alcohol overall.
People think it's just amoral choice I stick by, but I just don't like the taste.

Wait, I do like Smirnoff.

Not even good ol' Puerto Rican spiced rum? Rum and Coke will always be great.

I haven't tried that. I very rarely try drinks.

@Duel
On a rare occasion 2 days ago, I drank a bit of Blue Moon. I didn't like it that much either

Maybe. I just don't see the point in drinking something I dont like so I could grow to like it. :P
