@lantis - huzzah for task bar ^___^

Yeah, the taskbar pretty much R teh r0xx0rz. Not only does it look more organized, but it reduces desktop icon count and is... just... cooler. So yeah...

On my old machine the taskbar had about 30 things in it ^__^ so far I'm at 21 on this computer. Though I just installed Photoshop so I shoudl add that o.O

Anyway, sorry for the double-post. But I wanted to screenie Vista while I was at work. Here's the workstation I'm testing Vista on:

hehe, guy-at-mac-store said that they stole a lot of macosx graphics for vista.. from what i've seen previous and from this it looks pretty true =P you would think that it's more blatently obvious that usual for microsoft but hey.. *shrug* guess they're running out of semi-original ideas or something.

I would agree with you for the most part. But I can't deny that it's working better than XP, looks better than XP, ect... So you aren't going to catch me griping at it too long.

But is it $140 better?

And yea Windows is totally Mac now, which makes me want it less. I wasn't a huge fan of the Mac interface. Also scroll bar in the Start menu, bah. I like seeing all 75 of my programs at once.

Yes I probably could get rid of a couple of those, but around 75% I do use at some point.

Note actual desktop is at 1600x1200 but so I don't kill the internet I resized it to 800x600.

I dunno, I don't like seeing my windows crowded... I like the scrollbar.

Since when was avoiding redundancy of excessive .exe shortcut populous on the system's desktop, when installation of said programs are already pre-listed in an easily accessible area to even end users, cosidered technological elitism?

i think being pickly about how people choose to operate their own damn computers is elitism.. kind of like saying "you don't do it the same way we do.. you're not leet enough to be in our club" *shrug* ^___^
