The only ones who care will probably be me and Lantis, but Marty Friedman is back to working on his next album already. I can't wait for it to come out. :)

As celebration to my finally having beaten Wild Arms 5 for the first time ever (and sitting all the way through its awful ending without giving in to the temptation to put a gun in my mouth), I noticed that I had the old VHS version of Gordy tucked away beneath the nearby footstool where a sometimes-accumulating cache of unused games and movies bought at Amazon.com had been collecting dust for awhile.

..... I had not seen this film in years - having been a willing fan of it way back as a child (because all live-action talking-animal movies appealed to me in my young naiveness) - and unfortunately I am just now completely rediscovering that Gordy was heavily influenced by the dark culture we Southerners know as "country music". Oh, god ....

Watching this I feel as though I could look through the blinds on my window at any moment and find Nashville outside.

Other than that I am enjoying it, though! ... I think .....

(Come on, SK! You still have that imaginative little whipper-snapper living within you! Don't let the cynicism you've garnished as an adult keep you from contentedly enjoying and being inspired by the on-screen heroics of talking pigs!)

Afterthought: I know I said I wasn't a fan of country music, but, man, Moe Bandy apparently really knows his way around a fiddle. I cannot help but be admiring.

You have to hand it to her: she's more honest than most other western women.

I've got something to add to the conclusion of that article:

"Girls, have fun! Boys, start working! Lynzee, start getting humbled!"

My brother just gutted out the closet in the office and built a desk for us. Still need to hook it all up but here's a look

The shelves on the left are on a track and can be placed anywhere on that wall in one inch increments.

Something about closet desk spaces has always rubbed me the wrong way.

Confinement, maybe?

I just caught an injured mallard. Poor thing has a broken wing. I am keeping it warm in a storage tote next to the computer. Tomorrow after noon I will take it to a rehabilitation center that's two hours away. Hopefully it will make it.

I just spent the last 12 hours and 20 minutes watching all three Lord of the Rings movies, extended editions, straight through. So so tired. Caffeine wearing off.

Sleepy time I go.

I did that too. This was back when I lived with SK. I tried to get him to watch them with me, but apparently it was too much for him. Though I think it is something everyone needs to try to do at some point, not because the movies are good, but just to say that you did.

I have also done that, at the cinema with a bunch of the guys I (used to - lol) hang out with. Iirc they spent the entire second half of the epic journey talking about mundane junk. -.-

If you're going to do a marathon, I'd really recommend the original Star Wars films anyway. Or any one of a couple of dozen alternatives.
