Updated first post with the two latest models. I am actually really pleased with how the most recent one turned out. As I stated in the updated post, I really feel like I'm starting to get used to all of this. So I'm going to start pushing myself. I didn't like how the headcrab turned out, but I had never dealt with such a large model before. Earthwrom Jim was large, but not gargantuan.

Anyways, the SNES was a fun little one pager. I'm planning on making many more carts for it, just to poke around until I get a new printer. I though I noticed this earlier when doing the headcrab, but the model came out MUCH darker than expected. I was about to start working on a model for a tank from Left 4 Dead, but like the head crab... it came out much too dark. His denim jeans came out almost black. You couldn't tell the pockest or belt, ect. So after fiddling around with a crap load of settings both on the computer and the actual printer, I think the thing's just old and need to be replaced. So I'm going to have to do bright colored models like Earthworm Jim (who's mostly white) or just wait till I get a new one. So I'll probably just make a few SNES carts to kill time.

That SNES sure is tiny.

Updated the first post with 5 new models. A tank from L4D and the four main characters from Megaman Legends 1 and 2.

As for what I want to do next, I'm not sure. But I have A LOT of models on my compy ready for printing. It'll probably be game related though.

Anyways, I just finished my Fierce Deity Link model. Pics in the first post. Feel free to take a gander. Also, as stated in the post, I'm going to be taking a bit of a break. But I'm getting close to starting the life size link model. That's going to take several months to complete.

So I made a deviant art account to start posting these things in. And within a few days I had a pretty good supply of comments, a request to join an artisan craft group, and requests from two different papercraft template makers asking for me to testbuild their newest models.

Sooooo...

It's been a while. I haven't really done much in the way of papercrafting. Until recently, anyways. My first ever papercraft was a hat. A Mario hat. I've recently made another hat. This time, it's Link's.



So this is kind of a look at how far I've come since I've started. And I'd like to think that I've gotten fairly good at the art. Also, this isn't just Link's hat (which you might have guessed seeing as it isn't really green). It's Dark Link's hat. And is just a part of what will be the life-sized Link model I've always wanted to do. So this post is me saying that I've begun to work on it and kind of making it an obligation to finish it seeing as I've stated I would to you guys. I've also finished Dark Link's hands as well. So it is well on it's way... but still has a loooooooooong ways to go. I'll keep you guys updated as I make progress.

Also, I updated the first post and replaced all the embedded images with links from DA.
