Men like boobs

Women have them

*sigh*
I guess thats a bit spammy....

Well I think it all comes down to sexual drive. In men it is on the surface. I know I think of sex about three times every five minutes. Randomly one second and not the next. I figure that's the fundamental difference. Every decision and every preference and all things opinion are influenced by sex. Its how we work. Thing is, I can't say how women think on sex. I can say through my experience, that in general, women don't think about sex nearly as often. And when they do, its for a lot longer than men do.

I think that is the difference.

I didn't even notice that about myself until you brought it up. It must be about that frequently that some random girl (95% of the time her being an anime girl, and I state that defiantly) comes to mind no matter where I am during the day, and usually only for a few seconds. Then I forget about it ..... for another few minutes.

I am going to assume that here you used the term sex in such a generalized way that you were referring to basically thinking about girls at all. ^_^

Libido is a pretty flimsy distinction to hang your hat on, really, though I'm not exactly positive you were being totally serious with that answer. I've been with women who not only thought about sex way more than I did, though, but would wake me up to f*ck me. It's pretty much a myth of culture that women, by nature, have less potent sex drives.
So near as I can tell, libido is more or less equal in men and women - some have a very potent, very demanding drive, some fall at an opposite extreme with sex drives that pretty much leave them alone most of the time, and most probably fall somewhere in between those.

I mean, in any case, I know I don't think about sex anywhere near that much - unless you're talking more about gender roles than biology, which makes more sense. So far as what cues we follow in learning what to occupy our minds with, Sex is high on the male agenda in most instances, these days, but I don't think this is so overriding as to function independently of libido - that is, I don't think somebody who didn't already have that kind of sex drive could be socially 'trained' to function like that, necessarily. There has to be some level of susceptibility.

They didn't say that women had less potent sex drives but rather that they don't think of sex as often. I would posit that when women find a man they are 'significantly' attracted too they often have way more potent sex drives but men only need to find something mildly attractive about a girl to at least think about something sexual with her. I mean to a given man, most women have at least one of a sexually attractive chest, butt, face, hair, eyes or legs. That is usually enough to get a guy to think about sex even if only mildly and therefore frequently.

And you don't think thinking about sex is in any way related to the sex drive?

Of course thinking about sex is related to sex drive but those who think about sex the most frequently do not necessarily have the most potent sex drive. I think women tend to concentrate their sex drive, therefore they think about it less frequently then men but might have equal or stronger sex drive when they actually do think about it or actually do have sex.
