Oh, I see. The commentators are actually from there.
Well, now I know the Australian have a sense of humor. ^^
It's a damn funny video.

Also, before anyone says anything, Sydney is not the goddamned capital of Australia...

I have only seen like 28 seconds of the Olympics, and that's because it was on when I walked trough the living room to the dining room. (From there, I heard about 2 hours of olympics)

Update-y!

@Sumi - Canada in portuguese is Canada ^^ You're 19th right now.

And nevermind about Brasil... we're on a terrible streak of bad luck + disappointment + incompetence.

Also, you guys have 4 days to overcome China. Something tells me track & field isn't gonna cut it, especially with that Jamaica on the loose.

I can't believe US didn't win ANY of the main Track and Field gold medals. And the relay teams of both sexes dropped the damn baton!

Damn them.

i heard the jamacains were predestined from before birth to win those track medals <____< ... but that is just a rumour..

but as far as canada did.. bad. not too bad i guess though... 3 golds ... equestrial jumping individual which i saw ^__^ yay! rowing mens eight and oddly enough , wrestling. *shrug* who knew? 9 silver and 6 bronze in various things... all multiples of 3 good times XD

China of course owned like... nearly everything.. including, oh yes, table tennis XD!! gotta say they are ridiculously in the lead though....

but i still LOVE the fact that they have olympic table tennis. =D

One thing I realized in the diving, no matter how good a dive was for the U.S., they wouldn't get above a 6... at least out of the few that I saw. Every Chinese person got an 8 or higher. Just something I noticed in the diving and sh*t where they had judges.

Damn, y'all! Did you see the game between the Redeem Team and Spain? Spain was freaking beast in that game.

But USA Basketball finally has a Gold Medal again! :D

Be prepared for the Olympics to try and get rid of basketball now.

Yep, US destroyed in Basketball this year.

@Sumi - Ha HA! We finished with 4 golds. =3

By the way, Brasil just did extremely bad this year.

The best male gymnast in solo of the world... fell down.
The best volleyball team on the world... lost.
The best beach volleyball team on the world... lost.
One of the supposedly best football teams on the world... lost. To Argentina. That's like Israel losing to Palestina in psychological terms.
Our collection of Judo world champions... lost.
Our sailing teams, again one of the best in the world... didn't do anything.

Well, what can we do? Bad's bad. ^^

I know a decent amount about judging in diving and I think overall the judging was relatively consistent. The Americans were nowhere near as good as the Chinese. The only thing I didn't like was that for everyone, the judges seemed to ignore a lot of things like keeping your legs together in tuck and on entry, toe point, and being vertical when hitting the water. I don't think I saw a single dive that I would have scored higher than 9.5, yet their were 10s quite a few times.

So I think everyone was scored too high. The Chinese weren't really graceful but rather technically proficient to an extent. Diving scores are supposed to include grace as well and if they did, the gap between the Chinese and the rest of the divers would have been closer. That having been said, the Chinese still deserved to win in diving.
