Well, I know I'm perfectly fine off now, because those cops... after questioning me, helped move his crap into the truck beds too. So they can't even claim something was stolen. And also, I actually asked if they would like help moving, to which they declined in as rude of fashion as possible. Yay, maturity.

Oh, and remember how I said they called the landlord? Well, let's just say she's been doing a really sh*tty job of being a landlord lately, and after I explained my situation she offered me a one bedroom house just round the block for alot cheaper. This is really conveniant for me as the lease was for a year and won't be up till september. I plan to look around, but I can always fall back on this... so maybe things will start getting better from her on out.

always sign a contract, that way stuff like this is covered.

i dont see how you can be responsible for his stuff if he hasnt lived there. if you have no proof that he lived there recently then he has no proof that you have his stuff. if its on the front lawn then again he has no proof if something does go missing since its all hearsay. landlords do a lock out all the time when tenants become truant, your stuff is generally tossed on the side of the road.

id of taken something small and pawned it as part of the loss. he is welcome to try to prove that its his.

i woulda sold some of the stuff..i mean. he has no record of WHAT he had around ur place..u coulda made a few extra bucks. nor would his gf and sister knew what he had..
