I'm sorry to hear that, Dray. Hopefully that doctor will have some reason for what's going on with you right now.

Something similar's been happening to me over the past couple of years but has steadily gotten worse. An RN friend of mine suggested making some alterations in my diet for a week or so at a time to see how that affects the condition. So this week will be as little dairy as possible (cutting out milk and cheese mostly) while next week will be as little grains as possible.

I would have to hope milk is not something you'd have to cut out. (Thankfully not the case for me.)

Indeed, since I have milk with almost every meal and cheese with at least one per day. But here's hoping both of us track down the sources.

Just had another blood test. I doubt it'll tell them anything different than last time, though. They'll probably put me on some medication.

Huh. It told them something different. Apparently my thyroid levels were normal at the time of that last test.

However, I also got the results of that ultrasound from a while back. Apparently, there's this butterfly-shaped bump on my thyroid. Good news is, it is NOT cancerous. The fun thing is, there was a mix-up with the passing of this information, and my doctor didn't find out about it until I brought it up during my visit today. And so... surprise blood test! Gonna check if my antibodies or something are attacking my thyroid.

In the meantime, I've been given some emotion-stabelizing medicine to see if my anxieties these past few months have had anything to do with this issue. It's mild stuff, so I won't see any effects from it for a few weeks.

I'm not up to date with everything right now (Can't believe I never clicked on this topic before!) but I'm hoping everything ends well! At least there are some good news mixed in there. :)

I discovered something tonight that will help with the anxiety. If I kinda poke at the spot that is hurting, and I feel the poke in the same area as the pain, that means the pain is surface pain only and I've got nothing to worry about. Which is good, 'cause I've kinda been worrying.

So yesterday I went up to Springfield to see the thyroid specialist. Unfortunately, nobody sent them the ultrasound of my thyroid (why is that so hard), so they couldn't analyze that. But they did do another blood test, which slightly sucked, because the nurse there isn't as gentle as the local nurse.

Anyway, I just got a call with the result of that blood test. Like last time, my thyroid levels are normal. But they still want to keep an eye on it, so in two month's time, I'll go in for another blood test, and then another ultrasound a month after that.

But I'm still having chest pains, so I'm not sure what's up with that. Like I said before, it's surface-level pain, so I'm not that worried about something more vital going bad. But why I'm still having pain, I have no idea. Maybe I'm just sleeping wrong.

Well, that DOES happen, having pains from just sleeping in some sort of incorrect position. Well, let's hope it stays surface-level, or gets better.

Went in today to have a couple more tests. First was an exersize stress test, where they hooked me up to some wires and ran me on a treadmill. They wanted to see if this would cause any abnormalities with my heartrate. Things looked normal, though, and the exersize actually felt nice.

The other thing was a chest x-ray. I'll find out if they discover anything from that within the next couple of days.

Hopefully these'll be the last tests for a while. Would mean no more doctor stuff until December, and I could sure use that break.

Edit. Well, that was fast. Nothing wrong in the x-ray. So now I just need to get some exersize, because that treadmill run made me feel good.

That's good to hear! You have my well-wishes as well. ^^

I've been taking walks pretty often myself, and while I don't do it too often, I believe it still has had a positive effect in the end. ;)

That and the fact that I've dropped somewhere along of the lines of 10-15 pounds (Rough estimate) in the last year has helped hehe. ^^
