This will be free of political opinions. This is just about voting in general.

Quote:
You can still do early voting at the Court House. It is open until 6 pm weekdays and open Saturday 10 am – 4 pm. Voting is the right of every US citizen. Please exercise this right that people have fought and died for in our history. No matter who you vote for it is important that you don’t leave it up to someone else to do for you. Thank you for making your voice heard and vote.

This is what bugs me. People that think you have to vote just because you can. Yeah, it’s a right we have. Yes, it’s a privilege. But what I think is most important is that before you ever vote, you get involved. You find out about the candidates, their positions, opinions, and beliefs. And if it turns out neither of the two candidates are what you believe should be in the Whitehouse… then don’t vote. That whole “voting for the lesser of two evils” bull has never settled well with me, and I wouldn’t feel right with myself if I voted for someone I didn’t feel deserved the position… specially if that candidate ends up making things worse for the country. Now it’s partially my fault… and I didn’t want to vote for him to begin with.

And what’s even worse than this is that people like this are encouraging people to vote for a candidate even if they have no knowledge of said candidates. Uneducated voting, I believe, is way more detrimental than choosing not to vote at all based on decisive information that leads you to not trust the running candidates with the future of our country.

Worse yet, you have people like THIS voting:

I think the idea behind "lesser of two evils" is a good one, but its presentation is bad.

Try thinking of it as a vote against someone you don't want in the office.

And if what you want to vote into power isn't represented, well, get into politics.

Not voting, not even registered. I don't follow politics enough to trust myself to make the right decision.

I voted once. Bush still became President a second time, despite my efforts.

@Lantis
I agree with you but I want to know what you think about voting for a write in. I think you can write in anybody but I'm not sure. This way you can vote and you don't have to vote for either evil.

@Stythe
I'm not sure what you mean about getting into politics. A lot of people do that and they still cannot get who they want represented by the nature of the system. This goes with anyone from those who supported candidates who lost the primaries to those who supported candidates who couldn't get into the primaries. If someone did get into politics and their type of representative is nowhere to be found, what should they do THIS election?
