That sucks, man. I know what you're going through. I had an interview with Toshiba a couple of Sundays ago and it all seemed like it was good and was going to work out. Then I had to talk to the recruiter/head hunter guy I had been working with just to find out that they decided not to go with me. The assholes told me they were going to call me the next week (last week at this point) about the status of the job, if they were going with me or not. Well, I never got a call or told anything by them. It appears they weren't going to say anything to me at all.

But in any case, just keep looking. Take your old job back and look around and see what else you might be able to find.

Sorry to hear this. I've experienced this before where I do what they ask (at my own expense mind you), they tell me I'll have the job, only to find out the position was no longer available because of their budget. I also have been told that they'll call me back with the status but they never did. These are seriously frustrating things but they do happen. There's nothing wrong with getting pissed (I think it helps if you channel it constructively) but you have to remain strong, and you have to remain proactive until you secure the position. We all feel for you but I'm sure we all believe you will be all right. Good luck.

Yeah, sorry about what happened, Guar. It looked as though you were going to win for sure, but, try not to let it get you down. It's happened to all of us at least once in our lives, after all, I am sure. I hope it still helps just a little somehow that you at least had one person on your side in this - the principal - though, and, from what you say, you will have another chance in the future, right?

I do have a chance... Next year.
And now I might not even go back to my old job, since a new guy was assigned to that position. Once again, the principal intervened, and I'll be able to go back IF the Dept of Education finds another school for the new guy.
2011 is definitely not my year.

too bad guar, i hope you get something for the next year anyway. like sk said at least the people from the school like you and if the principal is willijg to fight for you, something good will have to come into play eventually.

The bad part is the waiting. I keep telling myself that something will turn up eventually but this is taking too long. I still don't have job after a couple more interview. My brother works at the docks, and they might be hiring soon there so I will try that.
