A gun can guarantee your right to vote.

Take away the right for common folk to bear arms, then you'll have the crazy peeps getting their guns illegally, while law abiding citizens have nothing to protect themselves with. I have always been a proponent of allowing people to carry CHLs in any public place. Yes, you will have some people that might go unstable and shoot somebody, but should another responsible person with a CHL be around, the number of killings can go down in an attack. The school shooting proves that police response time will never be fast enough. 6 minutes allows anyone to kill a good number of people.

That being said, not having the right to vote would allow for tyrants and dictators... but it's not like the populace is helping the cause much by voting in these lame ducks that "represent" us.

I don't vote, anyway. Never pay enough attention to politics. The one time I did try to vote was when I voted against re-electing Bush. Lot of good that did.

I would do away with the second amendment. After all, I would look ridiculous with bear arms.
