Valk didn't appreciate the gift. :(

Also, it's entirely possible those figures NLY mentioned weren't new releases at the time. A fair amount of stuff gets a lot more expensive as time passes. Were the ones he mentioned among them?

[KingSpoom] 6:07 pm: doesn't mean some importer didn't try to charge 90 bucks
[Bonanza] 6:07 pm: k
[KingSpoom] 6:07 pm: I went to the mall last week... the anime/oriental shop has a large markup

The most expensive things to come out of the Wing series for those two are the 1/100 High Grade model kits (from endless waltz, sandrock wasnt in that scale in the normal line) and those weren't more than 3000 yen retail, I don't think. They're discontinued now so they're a bit more expensive, but the most I could see them going for is maybe 45.

The figures for them, which were in the Mobile Suit In Action line, have actually gone down in value since the line ended.

But while Gundam Wing was popular in the US, I wouldnt be surprised if various stores were importing stuff and marking the price up to insane heights.

It's a series of animé that's like Gundam, except instead of giant battle suits, you have giant robot animals.

I just remembered, at the bakery I work at, there's a few figurines on display. Literally, a few, so the display is kinda random. Among them are Pac-Man, a Stormtrooper, and Optimus Prime. Although in the office there's a model of the Millenium Falcon and a 1-foot tall model of R2D2.

I... was kidding you nerd!
I consider a bit of a nerd myself. I'm just not the collectionist type. (I do have a bookshelf full of fantasy books, and I don't know where to put my new ones)
Something I did wanted badly, and I even bought 2 packs, was the actual FF8 card game. Unfortunately, they didn't sell more of them in the place I went. :(
My only figures consist of Quistis Trepes and Irvine Kineas from FF8 and a Vivi plushie from FF9.
