I couldn't say I was a fan of Astro Boy before this movie. I didn't hate him but I didn't know him, either. So when the guys were headed to this tonight, I decided to go ahead and go along.

Well, I was greatly and pleasantly surprised. It's a solid animated movie made by Imagi (TMNT, 2007) that can be enjoyed by children as well as adults (as long as your name is not Lantis).

My name is Lantis and I do not appreciate boys that can shoot machine guns out of their ass.

I thought it was a clever nod at the original. He doesn't use his ass lasers throughout the movie. Just one part.

btw, I was kidding about the Ass-guns.. even though I definitely eyerolled at the preview of it.. it wouldn't daunt me if the whole show was good.
