So yeah, explain the origin of your sig and/or avvy.


Mine is of Lantis from Magic Knights Rayearth which is a manga/anime from the popular team known as Clamp. Lantis uses a sword that's practically a rip off of a lightsaber and is known as the Ebon Knight and a Kail (or Magic Swordsman). Despite his imposing and almost frigid demeanor, in reality, Lantis possesses a gentle nature... Birds instinctively flock around him, and in the anime, during the collapse of Cephiro, he rescues many of the helpless villagers from the countryside, and brings them to the safety of the castle.

I'm as much hard core for the character as I am the time that name was adopted as an alias. Back sometime around the first semester of college SK and myself started watching the series. It was then that Sk and/or the other friends we were hanging out with started calling me that for reasons I honestly can't remember.

Anyway, the nickname stuck. So when I came here, that was the name I went with.

And my sigs are pretty self explanitory.

My avatar comes from VGCats. I'm a huge fan of Final Fantasy, and Chocobos. I loved the VGCats comic that my avvy came from (Chocobo Inbreeding) so I decided to a picture from that strip as my avvy.

My signature is a picture of a chocobo/firebird thing that Kittykicker sent to me last year. The type in my signature is from about 5 years ago on GameFAQs when I saw someone who had that as his sig. I copied it here.

Avvy: Pit. I really liked his design when I saw it more than a year ago, and I liked to play with photoshop, so I made that. Actually, the one I'm using now is an updated version of the first one I made. The other one didn't had Palutena in the background.

First pic: It's a really lame attempt at doing something for my development studio and game. I plan on thinking up on something better.
Second Pic. The symbol at the beggining is a native drawing of the Coqui.
I really like that drawing, and it's sort of one of the reason I chose Avenging Coqui as my Dev studio and title.
The original name was Coqui Vengativo, which my sister made up as a fictional revolutionary group.

My avatar is torneko from the world of dragon warrior/quest. More specifically from Torneko: The Last Hope.

My avatar is a self portrait though I didn't realize it at the time. I was trying to learn how to draw dramatic lighting from a book I checked out from the library on how to draw comic book characters and before I knew it I really liked the picture so I kept it.

As I started to analyze it more, I began to realize that the alter ego character that I had imagined (a protector of a physically oriented apelike band of simple families who did not understand that their survival was threatened by a more mentally advanced and less instinctively, spiritually, and empathetic population, and who was doing his best to serve as an unchampioned savior of his kin and their freedom from enslavement or death, having the look of sorrow and strength, having the security to understand that those around him may never stop resisting his efforts or appreciate what he was doing and having a commanding attractiveness to those who saw his features for what they were despite traditional notions of beauty, was much like myself. So it is me…in marker form.

The signature is a lyric from a Stretch n’ Vern progressive house song called “I’m Aliveâ€

Avatar is Hagiri from Yu Yu Hakusho. He's the "Sniper" of the Seven Angels, the human group that helps Sensui open a portal to the Makai, the demon world. His only power is to turn anything he touches into a lethal projectile. IMO, the best power ever.

Hagiri is awesome in the sense that he only has one power, and all his fighting techniques are based on that one power. He never faces his opponent directly, because he knows he can't win. After all, he's up against an overpowered human and two powerful youkais, and he's nothing but a human with a power.

Hagiri has a long endurance battle with Yusuke (think The End from MGS3, it's pretty much like that), and is defeated in a surprise attack by Hiei. He falls with one sword slash.

I'm not using any sig at the moment.

I need to update my avvie here at some point. My Pav avvie/sig change constantly, but I've not changed my Mag avvie since I first created my account. It's a picture of the flat-chested partner from Najica Blitz Tactics, which I do not even really like. I think the reason I used it as my avatar was because when I first came here, I noticed a lot of people had anime avvies/sigs, so I guess I kinda wanted to fit in.

My avatar is Brahms from Valkyrie Profile. Brahms is also a most famous classical composer, whom I identify with being a composer myself.

My sig is a link to my dev. studio.

Both avatar and signature are Mary Argent from Tales of Destiny.

She's a video game character that I could see myself in a lot. She's strong, not always the brightest, but supports the people she cares about.

Oh, and she's also a badass axe-fighter.

My avvy is a paint-drawn ice cube, mostly to give my name a character to stick with (much like how myoky uses chocobos to personify himself). I draw the Q there as a logo for my studio, Quixotic Productions.

The signature is Goemon from the Mystical Ninja series, one brand of videogames that doesn't get the respect it really deserves.

My avatar is the super badass ninja, Strider Hiryu. He is adorned with MGTOW crest.

My sig has Jem in it. You know, because I like Jem. The songs they had put a lot of sh*t to shame nowadays.

This is obviously the part you see of yourself in her.

.... All right, well, my avatar portrays this loud-mouthed and hot-headed kid named Sharaon (Syaraon, or however you spell his name) from CardCaptor Sakura. Much like myself, with my miraculous transformation from Id to Sarah's Knight as I described it in the thread about Sk's past a while back, Sharaon at first was some punk kid who had no use for anyone but himself, was only concerned with becoming more powerful as a magic-user, and was really mean to girls, yet eventually he became someone who would have done anything to help and protect the girl he loved, and simply became just a nicer and kinder person in general. So, that is basically how Sarah's Knight sees himself.

There is nothing Angelic about that sig at all. Unless you can count the feeling it gives me in my pants.


Anyways, moving on.

My avvy is..... Well. I honestly don't have a clue. I used to have a huge collection of anime/manga styled pictures and this one was my favorite. I have no clue where it came from. I currently use it to Signify Kajak because while the picture looks nothing like Kajak it does give the same feel/vibe as Kajak is intended to give.

Sig is a grouping of some of the biggest (imo) characters from a few games with my avvy standing slightly in the background. Was made by Lantis at my request.

You know, I was thinking the same thing. That looks like the exact opposite of an angel.
