For right now this is just gonna have a short list of descriptions for DH areas. Eventually I plan to upload a few maps to add some visual adds to my words.

------------------

Grans Island - Grans Island is a small isle to the west of the Mainland. The game starts on this island. It is home to many important areas and is where Caine's starship crash landed 3000 years ago. There are only two real ports on Grans Island, one at Mildas on the Southeast coast, and one at Lyphirea on the Northeast Coast. The rest of the island is surrounded by reefs and shoals that make travel by water nigh impossible.

Grans is home to 4 playable races (Humans, Centaurs, Barbarians, and Sciuridae), and a whole host of non-playable races (including, but not limited too, Scarred Ones, Yetis, and Demons).

It is also home to two mountain ranges, one large forest, two human cities, one highland, one prairie, one savanna, one volcano, one marsh, a class C mountain, Caine's starship, and Yggdrasil.

Due to the high amount of magical energy released here the climate is severely different in several locations. This difference is so extreme that a savanna is actually located right next to an ice mass that leads to the Northern Flows. Study on Grans climate is preformed at Lyphirea in great detail.

Mildas
- Mildas is the southeastern port of Grans Island and is the starting location of the game. It is a human city and has been ruled by a monarchy for the last 3000 years.

Mildas is the Human outpost charged with the keeping of Caine's prison. It was to do so with a heavy alliance of Elves, Dwarfs, Fairies, and of course the Last Centaurs. These alliances have all but fallen apart over the last Millennium and a half, with the exception of the Last Centaurs.

Mildas is a trading town that produces high amounts of timber, several various crops, and a few magical or magically enhances items.

The city is relatively quiet with the exception of the docks and Yousiph's Tavern. Mildas is also home to both the King's Guard and the Terazin Thieves Guild, two of the most infamous organizations for what they do, as well as polar opposites.

Yggdrasil - West of Mildas, on the prairie between the coast and the Forest of the Last Centaurs, stands Yggdrasil, the world tree. It is an enormous oak tree that houses a small civilization of Sciuridae.

It is said that the tree was where God appeared 3000 years ago, and that it grew overnight to it's full size. Whether or not this is true, the tree has extremely holy properties, and there is no record of its existence before the event 3000 years passed.

Study of Yggdrasil is nigh impossible as the Sciuridae are extremely hostile towards any that near the tree. The Sciuridae are also extremely unsocial and self-sufficient. They do not trade or leave the presence of Yggdrasil. In fact the only reason it is known that they are intelligent is the insults and curses they shout at any that near the great oak.

Forest of the Last Centaurs - The Forest of the Last Centaurs appropriately enough is home to the Last Centaurs, the last band of Centaurs left alive after the massive war against Caine.

The forest itself ranges from the southern coast of Grans Island, to the middle mountain range that bisects the island. The forest is made of primarily pine and oak with a sprinkling of other tree types. It has a vast host of natural flora and fauna as well. It should also be noted that the forest has numerous amounts of open glades that the Centaurs use for astronomy.

Caine's Fortress - Not so much a fortress as an upside down starship, Caine's humble abode lies jutting from the earth just west of the Forest of the Last Centaurs. The stone ship is surrounded by a huge crater caused by the crash.

Little is known about the inside environment of the fortress itself, as God's barrier and the fact that Caine is its resident have kept the ship from being explored.

The High Pass and Thousand Peaks - The High Pass and Thousand Peaks are located north of Caine's Fortress on the edge of the Western Reach mountain range. High Pass is essentially a pass into the Highlands while Thousand peaks is the ancestral home to many Ogres as well as being the current get-a-way for the barbarian tribes of the Highlands.

Thousand Peaks has well over a thousand mountain peaks over an incredibly small area, causing it to be extremely treacherous for those who do not know its routes.

The Highlands - The Highlands once covered most of the northern part of Grans Island, but during the war with Caine, the frequent battles there left half of the land severely scarred, splitting the Highlands in two and giving birth to the Blasted Land.

The Highlands, north of Thousand Peaks and west of the Blasted Lands, are the abode of the Barbarian Tribes. These tribes are nomadic and rarely interact with each other except for trading purposes. On the rare occasions that the tribes do gather the Chiefs elect a High Chief as a figurehead.

The Highlands are mainly an assortment of rolling hills and steppe like areas. The terrain is quite erratic and can be dangerous to travel unprepared. This drastic environment is due to the large amount the land suffered during the war with Caine.

The Blasted Lands - The Blasted Lands was once the eastern section of the Highlands. During the war with Caine, however, the Highlands were the location of several fierce battles. The Blasted Lands in particular were bombarded to the point of wounding the earth itself. Now, molten lava bubbles from the ground and even the hardiest wildlife falters. The Blasted Lands only real inhabitants are the Scarred Ones, former barbarians mutated by magical radiation.

Mount Nertha and Citeoph Pass - Mount Nertha is a class C (the gnomes categorize mountains as a, b, or c with a being the smallest and c being the largest) sized peak located just east of the direct center of Grans Island. Both of the mountain ranges of Grans Island begin at Mount Nertha. Once the Ancestral home of the ogres, Mount Nertha is now a barren frigid rise void of sentient life. Citeoph Pass, a three way pass from the plains of Mildas, the Blasted lands, and the Lyph Savannah, was formerly a heavily trafficked trade route. Recent years have seen it's use fall into decay, as the frigid snows grow colder and the yetis, Nertha's natural inhabitants, grow more hostile.
