The battle system really is slow. I put everyone at maximum speed so that it would go faster.

I don't mind the speed of the battles as long as the monsters have differerent unique abilities. If you're seening the same 2 every time, then it gets repetative. It more comes down to the creator. I really wish you could increase the speed each attack motion is played at.
