Oh, I remember those Nintendo Power magazines quite well. I think I still have a few issues of that magazine from past years.

Wow, Nintendo Power's final issue? I remember buying the spanish version as a kid and complain how behind in news it was compared to the US version. Even if it's been more than a decade without buying one, it is kind of sad to watch it go.

I had a few years of issues. I don't know what happened to them, though.

I still have most of the issues I've owned. Some of them I no longer own I was stupid with, and then others were from the year where they experimented with stapled binding. Can't remember when I became a subscriber specifically, but I remember it was through the "Mario Mania" player's guide, which was a history of Mario/guide for Super Mario World. I think it was during the Super Metroid comic. I used to read through the entire magazine, but eventually lost interest and only read the stuff that really interested me, which is why I eventually let my subscription expire.
