While I didn't expect to get this game, I received it as a gift. It will arrive Tuesday.

Point being, it has four player co-op. Hit me up if you guys end up getting this as well.

It MIGHT be a good substitute till Borderlands 2 comes out. I'm going to go watch a playthrough of an hour or two and see if it's worth while.

The original method was slow, and couldn't be done online. Here's a quicker method to duplicate ANY weapon.

Note: This can only be done with weapons, excluding Molotovs and the like, as well as firearms.

METHOD:

1: Make sure you have plenty of Inventory space. Store some junk with Jin to free some room temporarily.
2: Equip the weapon you want to duplicate into any of the wheel's slots. Leave all other slots empty, as to avoid confusion.
3: Equip your weapon, and hold LT. Aim at your feet. Press RT to throw your weapon and as SOON as you press RT, hold Y. You will throw your weapon and drop a duplicate.
4: Pick up one of the weapons, and repeat step 3 for as long as you like.

This is best done near a shop if you are looking for quick cash. Do it with a high value weapon for max $!

Another thing I like to do is throw a sticky-bomb knife and hold Y to dupe it, pick it back up and continue to throw them. EXCELLENT FOR CROWDS AND SPECIAL ZOMBIES!

Very helpful. Will be exploiting the hell out of this when we all get in there.

So I think we need to start kind of coordinating like we did with Borderlands here. Last night Ix and I cleared majority of the optional missions we had just to kind of get a feel for the game a bit better. I was able to work on some cheevs as well. I got Can't Touch This with Ix's help, which otherwise would have been a bit difficult.

Anyways, I don't have any plans set in stone tonight if we want to try and make some headway in Act 1.

I agree. I am more than willing to eliminate zombies tonight.

That was pretty awesome last night. There was like... this weird glitch where these really nice weapons would just spawn in piles all over the place. I have no idea how that was happening. Since it was Ix hosting, I'm assuming it had something to do with him. It was just really weird...

Anyways, I'm free tonight if you guys want to make some headway in Act 2.

Crap. I won't be able to play tonight; from here on until Monday morning I'll be working.

Well, I played on alone for two more hours or so after you all left last Friday night, so hopefully the next time I am in I won't be too far behind in levels and such.

What we usually do when we all find a time to get back together is have the person farthest behind load up their game and we join that one and get everyone back up to par. For the guys that are ahead, it means nothing more than extra experience and possible cheevs to grind on. So no worries. I can imagine it's a bit boring by yourself.

Nah, I managed to keep myself amused at the time. You know, running out to uncharted parts of the island to scrap with zombies several levels above my own.

Never did I think there would be a game about a zombie apocalypse and surviving it where the zombies had levels. I kind of like it though.

How good is Dead Island?

That one's a little tough to say. I can't really say it's anywhere near as good as Left 4 Dead, ... but it was entertaining enough with friends.


I guess I just really, REALLY hated the introductory movie. Other than that, I personally felt the controls were a little awkward, but once I started exploring on my own after the guys left, I got adjusted to them well enough, I think.

Well, SK is free tonight... problem is, he's still early on in Act 1. I'm working on the Right 4 Life (I'm on the last of the four) so I'm going to use that character and jump in with SK and help him get up to Act 2. You guys are welcome to join.

SK and I are jumping on in an hour if you guys want to help out. I'll probably first jump in with my high level character to get those 10 head shots I need for a cheevo and then switch to the last character to get R4L.

But the point of me posting again is that we missed the shotgun ammo blueprint in the police station. So you guys need to be in game by the time we get there so you can pick it up.

I just came in here to post that I found those blueprints only to see you know where to look. I have finished the city quests except for one. I need a Spade. You know, that level 4 super saiyan shovel. Also that there is one more mission I think we missed in the resort. It is to save a guy on the south east corner of the resort map.

Sorry, I forgot that I had a tech meeting at the lab later tonight, so I can only play 'till about 7:30PM.

I can get back on about 9:30PM if you guys are still playing at that time, I guess.

As of right now, all four of us are caught up on the story. So if ever there was a time for us to make some headway in the story, it would be now. We should try and fight a night when we are all free. I'm fairly sure Ix and I are good whenever as our schedules are pretty lax at the moment. So yeah...
