DK 64 wasnt all that good but its ok. A new one should be made.

DK64 I hated because it required you go over each level at least 5 times since it requies you use each Kong to get their own types of bananas, coins, blueprints, etc. I would've liked it way better had it simply been required that some golden bananas could only be aquired by certain kongs, while everything else could be obtained by whatever Kong you happen to be at the time (sans being in areas only reachable by certain Kongs).

Everything I liked except the gameplay.

Platformers certainly did go downhill during the PS1/N64 era. You still had platforming, but now you had to go around collecting items like on a scavenger hunt. Which is okay for Banjo-Kazooie, as that is obviously meant to be a scavenger hunt (even on the GBA). But why did Mario Sunshine continue the hunting idea? IMO, it would've been great had the levels instead been like the doot-doot-doot platforming bonus levels or the volcano fire level. Or at least had it not kicked me out of the level every time I collected a Shine (Banjo-Kazooie had the right idea; let me collect everything in one fell swoop).
