I'm getting BS2 tomorrow. I still need to finish ME2, as well. Kupid is on the back-burner for the time being. :P

Shooters aren't my forte - most of them are pretty boring to me. But the original Bioshock was really well done, established ambiance better than almost any other game I've played, and was fairly fun.

My fingers are crossed that BS2 doesn't disappoint.

(I actually forgot that I had pre-ordered it about four months ago - well, there goes that copy of International Law in Antiquity I was planning to purchase. >_<)

I feel the same way as you do. I don't really care much for FPS's... and it's mainly because they avoid a good story like the black plague. It's got to be military based (space, current day, or world war) and has to have bland grey/brown color scheme, and has GOT to be based on the multiplayer more than anything else. There are a FEW gems out there that break this mold... and Bioshock is one of them.

It kind of bothers me though that they are promoting their multiplayer so much though... for I could care less about it. The only multiplayer I'd care for is co-op in the storyline... which Bioshock actually has.

Anyway, I'll be getting this as well.

Sorry for bumping this dusty topic, but I'm playing the first Bioshock and have deemed it made of serious win. I now command you all to go out and play this game.

Forget that it blends RPG and FPS (and makes it work beautifully), It explores some interesting and deep social and political philosophic themes.

Such as how the Randian Objectivist ideal is ultimately flawed and doomed to fail.

Man, sorry for offing this busty topic, but wiki-ing your intellectual allusions is strictly prohibited under penile code 1.5'' of the Mag Charter, "Thou Shalt Not Douche Us."
