Well, seeing as there's no topic for it yet, I'm going to go ahead and start one. We can talk about the game till it's out (which is only a few months away amazingly).

Think about it.

PLayed through it alone a couple of times on Normal. Now that there are a larger variety of weapons, you won't get the same weapons every time you run through. The better you do, the shittier the weapons (like SMG, pump shotgun, etc). Also, new grenade which is a jar of puke, which contains Boomer bile. It's like a pipe bomb, but instead of blowing up, it attracts zombies to it. Melee weapons are excellent with a frying pan, nightstick, guitar, and a machete seen so far.

New guns I encountered are: Sniper rifle (new long range), Combat Rifle (3 shot burst), some new shotgun (don't know how much better than the auto shotty it is), a new SMG type weapon, and a chrome shotgun (same as pump).

EDIT: Also new is the AK-47, which is a slower, more inaccurate version of the Assault Rifle. The Chrome Shotgun is a pump shotgun, but reloads faster. Also in, the magnum pistol that me and Ix found. It is POWERFUL. It rips the sh*t out of enemies as seen here:

The new special infected are the Spitter, Jockey, and Charger. Spitter has acidic bile that burns you life fire and can separate you from the rest of the team in small areas. Jockey is like a cling-on Hunter. He jumps on you and rides you around and you lose control of where your character goes. Charger is a like a mini-Tank that will charge your ass, then grab you by the throat and choke you to death.

Definitely some excellent stuff.

Just to let you guys know, after this semester, I will not be bringing video game systems back with me to the apartment. They've been too much of a distraction and have guided my focus to places they didn't need to be. So, I will have time to play Left 4 Dead 2 with you guys around Thanksgiving time (if it's available for rent), and the Christmas break. But after that, I will not be playing for the rest of the semester. Sorry to break it to you, but that's just how it's gotta be. I'm getting too lackadaisical in the academic area and this is only one step towards putting my focus in the right place.

Well, I just had a chat with the mrs and mentioned that I was gonna pick this up. Then she reminded me that we just spent most our money on a vacuum (some of you know how much but I will simply say here that it is a Kirby Sentria) and our new puppy. I should probably put up some pics of her by the way. Anyhow, she kindly informed me that if I pick this up before payday that I would be lucky to find it the next day.

I decided to wait.

LIES, ALL LIES. You were having a blast with us last night just like the rest of us. And holy crap am I impressed with this game. Anyone who thinks this should have been DLC is brainless. This game wouldn't be near as polished and just sheer awesome if it were all just piled on top of L4D1.

I honestly don't have any complaints.... well, maybe one. But it's minor. There aren't any "omg, this is going to take me 6 straight months of playing" achievements. They all seem rather simple. Some may take some time, but they aren't all that difficult. Case in point: I've already got over a fith of the possible achievments in one night.

Btw, best moment of last night was when I was a charger... ran into a survivor, and then proceeded to run with him OUT THE 5TH FLOOR WINDOW of a building and we both fell to our dooms!

I really shouldn't be surpised... but I am every time it happens to someone. That really blows... it's going to be hard to get all 8 people in for a game now.
