In LIT, a teenager named Jake must make his way through his high school, which is overrun by shadowy creatures, to save his girlfriend Rachael who keeps in touch with him through the school's internal phone system. The game will feature 25 levels and 5 "puzzle orientated" bosses.[4] The game will also feature unlockable content, including a much harder challenge mode.[5]

Played from either a top down or a third-person perspective, the game sees players controlling Jake with the Nunchuk as they aim an on screen reticule with the Wii Remote. The reticule helps aim Jake's flashlight and is the player's point of focus. The Wii Remote's motion controls are also used, with a throwing motion used to throw objects, and players shaking the Remote to recharge Jake's flashlight.[2]

Using the flashlight in addition to other sources of illumination such as lamps, flares, televisions and broken windows, Jake must carve paths of light through the darkness to safely reach the exit in each room.[4] Along with being used in combat against the monsters that roam the hallways, this manipulation of light will also play a big part in solving certain puzzles along the way.[5] However, Jake must be careful in managing his sources of light, as some sources of illumination work on a timer, while having too many electrical appliances turned on will blow a fuse, plunging the level into darkness.[2]

Yes, the graphics are poop, but it seems to be a unique game.

I was about to say the opposite actually, I really like the art design.

I've been wanting to play a game by WayForward for a long time, and I'll finally have my chance.

This looks HIGHLY interesting. I really want to play it. Not only an interesting concept, but also some of the most badass art I've ever seen.

Too bad the actual character models are nothing like tha art...

Then again, aftet watching the trailer, it seems only them got a realistic makeover, the ghost thingies models resemble the game art.

That's a damn shame. Would have been cool to see them more stylized; however, the way they are isn't gravely bad, either.

You know, the Game Overthinker had a really good point about that. A chance to do something new and exciting, but in the end, just going with what's normal.

Anyway, I'm always up for a horror-esque game... so I'll give it a shot.

Pretty interesting, though.
