"We're sure that most of you have heard by now that one of the background music tracks that was licensed from a record label for use in the game contains two expressions that can be found in the Quran," a statement on the game's Web site said.

"We have taken immediate action to rectify this and we sincerely apologize for any offense this may have caused."

Usually I try to present a less emotional and more mature response but Sony in this case and Microsoft and Nintendo in general need to grow a pair and start letting their adult gamers play games that are not filtered for kids, parents of kids, or a minority of people who are easily offended.

Then again we adults can grow a pair and not buy whatever carrot they dangle in our face and actually require them to treat us like customers too.

LittleBigPlanet is not a game aimed at adults. it's aimed at everyone, so the "adult gamers" and "filtered for kids" thing has no merit.

it's not a minority of people who are easily offended. Sony is extremely popular in the middle east, with it probably being the highest concentration of sony fanboys on the planet. and the only reason they are "easily offended" is because for nearly a decade now, nobody ever stops TRYING to offend them.

nobody asked for a recall, the people who contacted sony about this just wanted a patch so those who didnt want to hear it didnt have to.

@Valkysas

At the very least, the game is delayed. Although you are saying that nobody asked for a recall, are you sure that adults who want will be able to play the game as originally created with the exact same music as originally included?

No, they won't be able to. that song will be removed via a patch. in the copies already leaked, and it will be removed in the new copies of the game being made right now.

but it's one track of music that was licensed for the game. it's not important.

Then why are they going to all this trouble to take it out?
