I just got through playing the demo and I must say I am becoming a tales fan again. I haven't played a tales game since destiny 1&2 and that never bothered me. I may have been wrong.

The battles are insanely fast paced. At first I was overwhelmed at the speed in an rpg but I got used to it a couple of battles in. It feels like when I played SO2 for the first time and for that reason, I will be picking this up upon release.

If anyone else wants to try the demo, just make a j-account on live.

Don't worry if you don't know Japanese, the whole thing is in ENGLISH!

Here's how: linkzies

I will get the game when it comes out. I'm not downloading the demo because I know it'll be fantastic story-wise and gameplay-wise. Tales of the Abyss was an amazing game so Vesperia should be even better or of the same quality.

EDIT: HOLY f*ck. I just looked at the screenshots for the game (haven't seen the graphics) and they're AMAZING. They're even better than Eternal Sonata's graphics, which were stunning.

You have to play Tales of the Abyss, insult. IMO the best PS2 game, bar none. It's what got me into the series.

I can't wait to play another Tales game.

You should play both. Play those and you will see the quality that Vesperia will more than likely have or surpass.

I might rent the game once it comes out. I rather enjoyed Tales of the Abyss. Still haven't beat the game because the final boss keeps raping me up the ass. I'm not sure if I'm willing to buy this game, though. The last Tales game I bought was Kingdom Hea... Tales of the World. I thought it would be pretty good after my most recenet Tales experience. I was wrong.

The only Tales game I've played is Tales of Destiny(and some of Tales of Phantasia).

Man, I need an X-Box 360.:o

I don't care for the Tales of the World games. They seem more like busy work compared to the big games they make like Symphonia, Abyss, and so on. I've played through most of the Tales games (excluding the World ones) and I must say that I like Legendia the least of them all, but that's the general consensus. Abyss was phenomenal, so I think Vesperia will be the same. It's been about 2-3 years since Abyss was released, so I think it'll be good.

EDIT: Gamefaqs shows it'll be released on 8-26-08. You know my ass will be out to get it.

I just downloaded and played the 360 demo by mistake. I heard you guys talking about it so much I thought I was downloading The Last Remnant. Don't ask me how that happen. I also have played the demo for Eternal Sonata but I only tried these demos. I didn't play them all the way through.

Clearly this game has high production values. The graphics are of superb quality and although I am still not really interested in real time RPG fighting, this game looked like I could really get into it.

BUT, I won't be getting this because I cannot stand all the Japanese cliche kiddie party slowly presented text that I had to read through and hit the button to advance.

You guys must really love this stuff. I'm sure you guys will probably like it if your into this type of game.

You're complaining that you have to press a button to advance text? :\

Yes, when there are so many times when each character in the party is saying one single kiddie line at a time.

Yes, but I believe they're all in Japan or some sh*t. They're all not very long, though. Each one has come out within a year of each other since Symphonia, I believe.
