Anyone else play this gem? I scanned around the recent posts on this forum and didn't see anything.

My favorite characters are definitely Beat and Shiki.

I feel like Square-Enix finally brought a worthy new franchise into the mix. The battle system is something else.

I still need to go through the game another time to gather all the secret reports for a secret ending, but I'm just taking my time and leveling my pins.

Been on the fence about getting it.

Basically, you play as a protagonist named Neku who is forced into a Reaper "game" that he himself doesn't even understand. Some noise(enemies) come at his ass, and a girl named Shiki partners up with him so you can fight the noise. Then, the game just tells you to survive for 7 days, and complete daily missions.

Game takes place in Shibuya, a district of Tokyo in Japan I believe, and some of the locations are real(the statue of Hachiko the dog for instance.)

It sounds cool. Especially that 7-day survival thing.

Also, I remember Shibuya being in Shin Megami Tensei games. Didn't know it was a real location. ^^

Yepper. Best shopping district apparently.

I thought the same thing. Bleach-esque? But no, not really. Though the same term is used, rest assured the reapers in this game are a bit more adversarial.
